kleigh I agree with you. DH is a teacher so it's not like there's much financial mobility there, but the time we have together is worth it for us. When we lived south, his commute was 1-1.5 hrs each way. It sucked. He'd get home exhausted and always needed time to decompress from driving in rush hour traffic. I had a brand new Lillian who didn't sleep and I needed him home. Also, I love being a sahm, but I need to find a part time something too. I think you have to figure out how to be balanced in your life. It's why I've decided to try to be on the board for my mom's club. My mom was a sahm and was the president of our church, in several different groups, and was a room mother when we went to school.

Not much going on over here. Bedtime has become a nightmare with the 2 year old. I'm at a total loss. We're doing everything I've read about and she just won't go to sleep at a reasonable time or easily. Once she's asleep, she usually stays asleep until 6:30 or so. DH is losing it and it means we have 0 time together without kids. Lilah is also having some sleep issues, but I think it's just due to a growth spurt or something. A phase. I'm hoping?
I'm still getting over being sick. Lillian had dance class this morning and her ballet shoes are still missing. So I have to deal with that. After lunch I'm planning to go to Target to get a few things I didn't get at the store on Monday.

Coppertone waterbabies was one at the top of the list so I got it and tried it out. I always think Mia smells so good and adding sunscreen to the mix almost made me swoon. Instantly brought back memories of fun summer days as a kid.

I am so sorry ClassyMrsA. That sounds so incredibly frustrating. All of it. It sounds like you have zero time to even relax and get your thoughts together.
kleigh your UO is my UO too. Unfortunately, it's also an UO within the household. I would sell my car, house, and everything in it in a second if it meant a good family life.
Edit: I swear I know the your/you're difference
Is YH gone from 4a to 8p ?!!?!? That's so rough! I mean we grew up quite poor and not that uwith our babies to have the kind of struggle that we did, but we are not struggling by any means. I mean we could sell my new car, downgrade our house, not have to live in one of the most expensive towns, take trips, buy stuff, etc - I'd do all that before I'd want to lose another 4-5 hours out of my day (between longer hours being expected and the additional commute).
He doesn't leave until 6. Thank goodness because he able to at least feed the dogs before he goes. MWF he's usually home around 8ish lately Tuesdays and Thursdays are his 'early' days and he's home around 7. Saturday is always a toss up. I miss him. And I know our bedtime routine sucks because Mia is always up long enough to at least get a kiss good night if he can't be home for her bath. But his childhood was hell until his mom finally gave up custody to his dad. I know that he works like this and his inability to ever be content stems from wanting his own family to have anything we'd possibly need. He and I could probably put a therapist into a new house if they ever got ahold of us.
sophiegrace, they ignore him for the most part but try to steal all his blankets!?! Lol jubilantsquirrel, I love the favorites! I'm glad I didn't know about that food truck when I lived there or I'd never lose weight!

cheshie6, I'm thankful they only come here once a month, otherwise I'd be in trouble! They do have a storefront in Fremont, but I've never been, which is also probably a good thing for my waist line.
cheshie6 adorable! I wonder if they like that his smells on them?
No they love all blankets and currently the ones out most are his! My bff made L 10 flannel blankets, and he's gotten 3 quilts (which I use for tummy time) so I think they just love blankets because they love the throw on the couch as well as they have their own blankets (before I knew they would try to steal baby's)

This is the worst day. The kids are really at an eleven, I'm exhausted, and I'm stuck on a conference call for work where everyone is arguing and I can't get off.
I had this a few days ago, and honestly the past two days they've been angels - I have to believe your in store for some awesome justice in a few days if you could hang in there.
starbuck27 Sending you a virtual glass of wine🍷🍷🍷or three. Hope the call is done soon.
*chugging*
I had to walk away from J. I had them both on the pillow, offering boob or paci and snuggles and he was just screaming at the top of his lungs at me. I'd calm him down, and a few moments later he's screaming again. I just can't take it anymore today. I texted MH and asked him to come home.
I'm so glad you did this.. Hopefully he's there in no time.

I'm sorry your day has been so rough starbuck27. I hope your H is there now to help and that tomorrow night is blissful. Lilah is just getting over a cold and she's been really challenging this week. Very fussy during the day, wanting to nurse all night, waking up constantly crying. She's almost over it so I'm hoping she goes back to normal soon.
starbuck27 I would say my kids are more whiny, crying, and hungrier when they have a cold. But what you're describing seems a bit more. Did J have a runny nose or a lot of congestion? I would question if it turned into an ear infection.
Yes starbuck27 When Alec and Adeline had colds a few weeks ago I was miserable -wouldn't sleep, screaming, whining, just unhappy little boogers, even being held they'd be little pissers. Sleep was torturous. They were up the whole night which in turn I think affected their daytime attitudes.
