Morning! In line at Dunkin' with C. We stayed at my parents' last night and Mom is running B to school this morning and then coming to help me supervise the move.
We had a late night getting last-minute stuff done and the kids didn't get to bed til 10, but thankfully they both slept great and they loved waking up to my parents there. Dad made B breakfast so I got to stay in bed. #winning
If we're home Cass is running around the house like a fool and bouncing off the walls. If we're out "my legs don't work! I'm tired! Carry me!" *Eye roll*
That was my 5 year old nephew last weekend at the zoo. Halfway through his legs stopped working so DH ended up carrying S and he rode in the stroller.
Good morning. I woke up at 1am and saw the tv was on in the living room. I sent DH out because I knew H was up. Next thing I know S woke me at 5:30 and everyone was sleeping in my bed. Needless to say I am sore and didn't sleep great. H was a little warm when she woke up but I'm still sending her to school. I need to run to Lowes to get more mortar for the tile in the basement. DH got about half way done last night. I don't think he was using enough mortar though so hopefully the tiles don't pop up eventually.
mwhipple77 I hope surgery is quick and recovery isn't too bad.

Lol. That was my sister on literally every family vacation we ever took that involved doing something she didn't want to do (walking, museums, etc). We joke that she's limped her way through major cities and attractions around the world with a 'twisted ankle' or similar...that would always magically heal if you mentioned, say, FAO Schwarz.
(I'm showing my age, I don't think FAO Schwarz even exists anymore).

Good luck today @mwhipple.
I have a mild hangover. We stayed up too late drinking wine for our anniversary, but it was a really good night so it's worth it. Dh is going into work late so he's up and getting the kids ready.
I have to take my niece and my sil to the children's hospital today to meet with dr and make sure the last surgery worked. Fingers crossed it did and they can transfer care now because they have a plane ticket booked to go join my brother in Virginia for Saturday.
Weather is yucky here, but I have to get out to complete some errands. I really would like to stay inside and catch up on my DVR shows. I dislike days when adulting wins.

Hey girls. I'm on the elliptical. First time at the gym all week. Still can't access our kitchen, floors are drying. I'm thinking I might need an egg and cheese on a croissant and an iced coffee for lunch.
Tapa question for you guys: When I have an inbox message, I can see a number on the little envelope at the bottom of my screen, but this little red dot has been here awhile and whenever I click on it there's nothing there. Does it mean that I'm online? Does it mean that there's a hidden message that I don't know about?
Mine is the same way. I haven't figured out why it shows that red dot.
You know what? After some investigation I think it's from notifications. Although I tried clearing it with just the check mark and I had to keep scrolling down and it keeps adding more so I'm not going to worry about it.

I think if you click on notifications there's a ✔️sign somewhere, if you click that the red dot disappeares, at least on my iPhone it does. I hate red dots with a vengeance.
I did that, but it didn't go away. So I scrolled to the bottom and more loaded so I clicked the check again. I did it about 6 times before I said fuck it, the red dot doesn't bother me that much.
Netflix series about a teen who listens to tapes made by a friend who committed suicide documenting the 13 reasons why she did it. I recommend it.
Hm. My 14 year old SIL snap chatted something about it. And I know she's watching it on her tablet. I didn't know if I should inform MIL. I think I might. She's a very young 14 and I worry about her being depressed.
I would suggest someone she trusts: you, her parents, etc. watches it so she can discuss it with someone. It has a lot of important messages/themes in it that could be a great lesson for her.
When I was 14, my parents had no idea what I was watching.
Yeah, same here. I mentioned the other day my parents had no clue I watched Oz in high school. That show is twisted and effed up. This also got me thinking of the idea of monitoring my kids' phone/computer. I don't think I'll do much unless they give me reason to. I plan to have lots of open discussion about a whole range of topics before there's any inkling it might be an issue for my kids. It's a different world though. They won't have to know the trials of trying to download still porn images on a 56k dial-up modem. I had it rough.
# old. I got my first dial up modem in my 20s. In my day, the porn was from holding down 3 buttons on the remote that was tethered to the tv together and it gave you the playboy channel. Any of my fellow olds know what I'm talking about?
I loved the show My So Called Life when I was in high school. I wish it would have lasted longer but it touched on some similar themes as 13 Reasons Why. It was ahead of it's time.
I loved My So Called Life. Jordan Catalano was everything!!!
When I was on maternity leave with S, it was one some random channel at like midnight - I used to plan my nighttime feedings around being able to watch it!
