Please tell me you have seen Metallica!! If so, tell me all about the show! Huge fan!
Oh! I saw Metallica. When I worked in TV, the newsroom and studio and offices was at the Wells Fargo Center, so I got to see a lot of concerts for free and they were one of them. So their old stuff, was fucking awesome to hear and see live, and I am not even a huge Metallica fan. I do enjoy a good amount of their songs. But holy crap I was blown away.
@katechristine18 That is awesome you got to see them and for free is even better! What other shows did you get to see when you worked there? That was a pretty sweet perk of the job!

jessijean, Nope, We LOVE Jack Ingram over here. I'm sad that he hasn't come back since we saw him in 2009? I think.
lovemyirishtwins, I saw him in 2008 at a tiny county fair in northern NH. He was awesome! We got there early and watched the sound check and got autographs before walking around the fair. I am not a fan of anything he's put out in a long time though. I know This is an UO.

Dixie Chicks is SO not my normal fare, but I was taken by a vendor back when I worked in advertising and I was SO impressed with them! They put on a fantastic show!
I saw Dr Dre at Coachella a few years ago - the show with the Tupac hologram. I was tempted to put Tupac on the list. LOLOLOLOL

Omg it was THE BEST. I wish that job paid better or else I would still be there!!! I got to see Coldplay, Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Paul McCartney, Tom Petty, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, a few American Idol concerts, Britney Spears, Carole King & James Taylor, Neil Diamond, and Muse. I missed a few really good ones (BEYONCE) because of vacation and what not, but I realize how lucky I am for having to see that much music for free.

cincymama I actually saw the Who last year for their 50th Anniversary tour. It was a really good show for a bunch of old guys haha...My mom bought the tickets, I wouldn't have chosen them if I had to pay, though.
Sadly, Metallica was my lie. They are fairly local to me (Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield live one county over) so I was excited to mark them off my concert bucket list. We have seen them driving around town. I met them at a local arcade with my mom when I was 10. They were there playing laser tag. My mom was too shy to talk to them so she told me to wave and I did. They said hi, one of them played air hockey with me and my mom internally fan girled.
They headlined the Bridge School Benefit last year and I won tickets. But, me and Ella both got sick the day before the show and so I didn't get to go. Much disappointment.
yl jane's addiction? This was one of my favorite high school teacher's favorite bands.
I did see them...kinda. They played at a music festival and I was about 9 rows from the stage. It was awesome. But I had been drinking all day in the sun and I was so exhausted by the time they came on that I somehow fell asleep.
This is the one I haven't seen. They headlined at Coachella when I was there, but we were so tired we just went back to camp and skipped them. I heard them from my tent, though.

Jealous of all of you that have seen Red Hot Chili Peppers. I bought tickets for their Oakland show last month....and again missed the show because Ella was sick (with a MRSA infection). She hardly ever gets sick but apparently her immune system likes to lash out on me on concert days!
lovealwaysalison Bummer that you both got sick and you had to miss the concert! That is pretty cool that you live so close to Lars and James and have met them!!

cincymama current me totally digs that I met them. I wish that 10yr old me could have appreciated it as much as now me would have because the memory is a little blurry. Current me would have preserved it better. Haha

No one guessed correctly, minus on my FB after several tries. It was Foo Fighters. I knew it would fuck everyone up because SO is obsessed with them. But no, haven't seen them in concert.
1. Alkaline Trio 2. Minus the Bear 3. Dispatch 4. Streetlight Manifesto 5. Rilo Kiley 6. Glassjaw 7. Florence and the Machine 8. Ben Folds 9. Goo Goo Dolls 10. !!!
I feel like I need to tag pixiepink24 in here so someone will actually know most of these
After ruling out a few, I'm going to say that you did see !!! cause most people wouldn't lie about seeing a band that no one other than me would have heard of or know how to pronounce- chk chk chk. I bet they're fun in concert- Intensify is stuck in my head now.
I'm stuck between you lying about Ben Folds cause it's seems odd to me, and also Dispatch. You don't seem like a jam band kinda gal and if you truly like Dispatch, then all 10 concerts would have been Dispatch cause a Dispatch fan would only see them after following them around the country.

This is making me laugh because I love Dispatch. (Have never seen them in concert.)

cornpop311 I love that gen folds song and hear it in my head when you talk about her. Particularly with the tattoo. You probably have mentioned this before but I am so forgetful.
