I just wanted to let everyone know about our experience last night. E possibly ate some wild mushrooms. We saw them in her hands but weren't sure. I called poison control and they told me they never take chances with mushrooms because you never know what's poisonous so to get her to the ER within an hour of the incident for charcoal. So she is fine, but we spent 2 hours in the ER last night and she had 60ml of charcoal. Luckily for me she was a trooper and didn't give me too much trouble (they let me do it because she took to it ok).
And that is off a maybe eating a mushroom that may or may not be poisonous. The ER doctor had my husband take pictures and he sent them to me, I texted them to the doctor and he sent them to his friend who is a botonus but he told him only a true mushroom expert could tell him what the mushroom was.
If she was to get sick within 24 hours after the incident we have to go back to the hospital and poison control calls an expert to come in to identify the mushroom.
Poison control told the doctor this happens often, that babies may have got into mushrooms, because it is so fast they grab them, and the answer is always better safe than sorry.

Jaysus!!! I'm so glad she's is ok. You did the right thing by bringing her I'm. I'm going to scour the yard for mushrooms after I get home. I need to find one of those hamster balls that's toddler sized because I'm just going to keep K in there where its safe.

Right! I have a panic attack every time we're in the yard in case we missed a fire ant hill and she goes stomping and now I have to worry about mushrooms!!!

Don't completely freak yourselves out. I don't want that lol. But just be mindful of what's up in your yard. The majority of the time everything is fine.. But do call poison control before going to the ER, or on your way (I'll say that about any possible ingestion of worrisome things). The nurses at my hospital didn't seem to think it was a big deal. I told them what poison control said and luckily the doctor knew it could be serious. Otherwise I may have been waiting longer to get what she needed. The doctor had to harrassment them to get her more charcoal and sooner rather than later. Posion control had it in file that I had called so were able to relay the info to the ER as well. ERs often have to call them anyhow to know what to do, so may as well help out by getting that info to them sooner.
