somebabiesmom - hungover, drinking more and flying - both our Dads have passed, but at my wedding in Australia they were both there and I think I was sober for about 6 hours in a two week period - bloodies with breakfast, gin and beer alll day, wine and beer with dinner, Kahlua, baileys and cognac before bed.
Hah.. breakfast for DH's work events at the weekend away the dress code is basically to determine who can look the crappiest and still get out of bed. Smeared makeup from the night before isn't even frowned upon. We all did kind of question the girl who showed up still wearing her formal dress from the previous night.. but not too hard.
I just assumed it was going to be a step above that.
After reading about your wedding, it's you may be fine wearing yoga pants, a tank top, and your largest pair of sunglasses possible.
I'd wear a comfortable maxi, flat sandals and bring a cardi for the plane. If the maxi is a good wrinkle free fabric, you can just throw it on and you won't even have to worry with shaving
I bought this recently and it's super easy to wear and non-wrinkly.
A maxi is genius! I have a black one that I can brighten with a cardi. I think I'll pack that and a sundress and cardi. IDK attire for this was so stressing me out.
Flying in maxis is the best. If you have to bend over, you don't flash anyone, they are comfy, and it's a little like a built-in blanket for your legs.
True confession: I read the "flying" in "hung over, drinking more, and flying" as a drug reference at first. Lol. Thank God someone then pointed out "plane" because my poor Southern heart was just aflutter with the shock.
