So glad it's not broken, starsandshamrocks123! Definitely take it as easy as you can to help it heal as quickly as possible. Mine took a good two weeks to be almost normal and it wasn't as bad as yours. But I kept pushing it. Don't do what I did.
Ahhh I agree that I'm glad it's not broken too starsandshamrocks123, ugh I hope that it heals extra fast so you are able to focus on c section recovery
Me: 29 DH: 35 NTNP since May 2013 charting since June 2014 dx: Graves disease (radioactive iodine), Crohns disease (abdominal surgeries) MMC October 2015 (9 weeks) Severe MFI diagnosis July 2015
Just got back from my 37 week appointment and I'm feeling bummed. Midwife estimates baby to be 8-8.5lbs right now, just based on feeling my stomach. But more importantly, he's sunny side up. I'm feeling defeated. These two things (size and position) are what made my labor so long and hard last time. I just didn't want to have that experience again. I found a bunch of exercises I can do to try to get him posterior facing, so I guess that is all I can do at the moment!

I've found that midwives are ridic accurate at estimating the weight based on feeling the belly. It's crazy and amazing. Sorry baby's weight and position aren't in your favor but anecdote time: my friend has 10lbers and they're always sunny side up yet her labor got faster each time. So hopefully your body is like we got this: boom, baby! lol hugs momma. Hope the exercises help too!
Man getting checked for dilation hurts. I'm only at a one so doc was like, your body isn't ready. Well yeah only 36 weeks. Usually he mentions wanting to induce at 38-40 weeks but he didn't today. Just said baby looks perfect and we're both healthy. So I'm hoping this means it's looking favorable to not be induced at all. He initially suggested induction because of the single umbilical artery but baby is not showing any of the risks associated with it

starsandshamrocks123 - sorry about the sprain! those are the worst! ask you doctor for a referral to PT. I had a severe sprain in college and the PT folks were able to help me with a lot of the swelling at first, then getting it strengthened. If you don't strengthen in, the chance of re-injury is a lot higher.
lulu783 - check out spinning babies if you haven't already. They have a ton of great info on getting baby in the right position. My doula also told me to basically never sit on a couch or in a rocking chair. Sit on a yoga ball whenever you can. I hope this baby cooperates and things go smoothly!

starsandshamrocks123, sorry about the sprain Glad it's not a break and I hope you recover quickly!
lulu783, sorry baby is sunny side up Hopefully he turns around soon. I remember feeling DD twisting into place during delivery, once I hit 10cm. They had me lay on my side for a bit once I hit 10cm to try to get her to move down and it worked. It was definitely a long labor though.
Just got back from my appointment (36+3). I was checked last week so she didn't check this week. Last week I was 50% effacted and a finger tip dilated and she said his head was very low. This week it took her a minute longer to find his heartbeat (which made me really nervous!!!) but it was lower than usual, which she said he's just really, really low. She said once contractions start, and I was having BH even as she checked, that she thinks he will go really, really fast. Possibly too fast for an epidural. She estimates that he'll be here in a week and a half. Trying not to get excited over that since it's just her estimate and babies do wtf ever they want, but I'm hopeful.
So glad it wasn't worse starsandshamrocks123. Hoping for a quick recovery! I had my weekly NST this morning. A few minor contractions showed up, but it didn't seem like anything compared to Thursday's results. My BP was a little off (lower number was higher than it normally is) and I had some minor traces of protein in my urine sample (second week of this.)

marshian that gives me some hope... but it's just soooo ridiculously swollen today. I won't even post a pic because it's tough to look at. It's tough but I'm trying to stay off of it. But I can't do crutches with weight on one foot only. My center of gravity is off!
I just had a meltdown. I know there's MUCH worse things and I'm grateful baby sounded good at my appointment this morning, but I have no idea how I'm going to handle all of this in 2 weeks.
My doctor was super awesome and told me not to worry and that my c-section recovery probably won't be as bad as last time and they are able to accommodate my injury and it won't affect the birth at all. But dear god I just hope I can walk on it... like how can I take care of a newborn if I can't even get up off the couch?? And the orthopedist appointments sound pretty impossible to do. I won't be able to drive and DH will be working. And of course the 3 year old and newborn. NBD.

I've had a headache off and on since Monday evening. I didn't say anything at my doctor appointment yesterday because I thought it was gone. It disappeared for a little again this morning but then a couple hours into work it really flared up. I've maxed out in the daily max of Tylenol now. It has taken the edge off but I can tell it is still there. This is really unusual for me. Just waiting for doctor to call back to see if they want me in or not and then I'll head home or to the dr office depending on what she says. Taking forever for her to get back to me though :/
applemuffins - Assuming you've also chugged water? And tried caffeine? If it's unusual for you, I'm glad you called your doctor. Hopefully it's just a headache!
applemuffins, I have been having the same headache issue the past couple days. I have an appointment tomorrow, so I figured I'd bring it up there. I do get dehydrated easily, so I've been drinking a lot of water. Please let me know what your doctor says!

Still haven't heard back, so I guess they aren't worried. The Tylenol kicked in and maybe with the bit of caffeine, it seems to be better for now. It keeps coming back though so not sure if it's gone for good or not. Guess I'll find out in a few hours. Decided to stay at work but I might just leave a bit early. I wish this was my last week :/

Finally heard back. Dr said to go to l&d. Since my headache was gone, I asked nurse if I can just get my blood pressure checked at the pharmacy. If it was normal I'd stay home and go in to l &d if headache came back and if it was high I'd go in. Well it was higher than normal, and then the short walk there and back to the pharmacy made the headache come raging back. Sooo, taking DD home from school and then heading in. Wish me luck!

We had a somewhat eventful week so far. Monday we had our typical appointment (36 weeks) with an NST, BPP, growth scan, and doctor's visit. LO was not cooperating and did poorly on the NST but passed with flying colors the BPP so doctor was fine. His growth scan still shows him in about the 75th percentile and around 6lbs 14 ounces. The doctor did say it looks like the cord could be around his neck, which cued me to panic but doctor assures this is common and so does Dr. Google. Yesterday my blood sugars were suuuuuuper low all day for no reason and baby was not moving much at all so cue panic started from Monday's news. We went to L&D and all was fine and baby was just being stubborn. Glad he is good and will stay put for a bit longer. Next appointment tomorrow!
