Conference last night was good but of course DS was kind of fidgety with having to stay still/sit with us & not roam the classroom. It was "student led" so we were given a checklist with a folder & he was supposed to show us a bunch of stuff he's learned through the year, etc. More like a "parent led" conference if you ask me. Lol

Soccer last night was good but the wind chill out there was real. I have to remember to keep a hoodie in the car for me. We got there a couple minutes early & the younger group was the biggest group I've ever seen. Then DS' group got there & the group was just as big. He's done soccer since he was 3. The groups have never been so big. DH & I were joking that maybe they hired some sort of marketing firm & what was the coach going to do since he's never had to handle so many kids but we noticed he had an assistant. I guess all the little kids finally grew up, it was crazy. Anywho, he had a handful of kids from his class & more from his school + familiar faces from last season that he remembered. Not sure if they're from a different school district or not. His participation was great, I just wish his behavior was a smidge better. If only I could describe what he does, he's just super flamboyant & loud, sometimes jargons weirdly. You'd probably sideeye him, look at him weird. Lol I'm sure he's labeled around town as "that kid." He usually does that in the beginning but then mellows out so hopefully that's the case again & he's better next week. Could have just been the excitement.

I have SIL, BIL and my niece and nephew tonight and tomorrow. We're so excited to have them. The boys are doing a baseball camp tomorrow at the minor league stadium right by my house. We're grilling for the first time this season tonight too! The kids are excited for s'mores!

I'm on the last season of Big Love. Finally. Should be able to get an extra episode in since DS has his art class after school today. He's been bringing home such neat things. Definitely going to sign him up at the beginning of the school year in the fall. I think there is 2 or 3 sessions total. He loves it.
Been MIA so much lately. I am out of touch with any big news there may have been on here lately, but I hope all of you are well.
We are finally in the process of moving. We also are busy with some work we need to do on the house. We aren't living there yet - a couple of the projects need to be done first - but counting the days. The nice weather had brought neighbors out to their front yards, so we have chatted with a few so far. Theeeeen, we got snow yesterday. I know it is still April, and the snow didn't stick, but still, come on, Mother Nature, most people have already mowed grass at least once around here.
That's the "short" version of what I've been up to and why I've been missing so much (again).
WI. I was melt as soon as it lands type. People have mentally moved on since our snow has been gone a while this year, so even though snow in early May isn't unheard of for some years, snowflakes now, this year, still provided shock value.
