Hey ladies! We plan on being outside all day. We have so many flowers and trees to plant and DS has a new bubble gun which is the most exciting thing ever right now. Family is coming over later to grill.
Tried to take Dd grocery shopping but the whole (small) town is without power (storms last night maybe?). We didn't have to get anything today, I just don't like to do it on Sundays. Now we're all hanging out, playing, occasionally cleaning as we make our way around the house - best kind of lazy Saturday!
And hello! We were out running errands today. H had to have his work vehicle serviced so we dropped it off and took care of a few "must do" items.
We also hit up BRU and started a registry. I have no plans for a shower or anything (STM), and I only plan on giving it to someone if they ask, but registry completion coupon, and rewards dollars? Yes please!
Its much easier to do a second registry than a first lol.
I started a registry at bbb because that's where the crib we like is. Mine is more of a "don't forget to buy these" list

mkrupar I told my mom that I have no interest in a shower and I specifically saved everything from DD. If family/friends want to give us diapers & wipes (or whatever) that's great, but we don't need a shower for that
2nd showers aren't a thing in my circle anyway. We have everything from DD, but will need a new wardrobe since 2.0 is a boy. I gave no fucks about a gender neutral wardrobe, so we don't have a ton of clothes we can use again. I'll probably consign a bunch so I can have $$ to buy the baby clothes. I have time to figure all that out though. Lol
DD will also stay in her crib for now, hence the IKEA route. My ILs bought DD's, but we're on our own for the new one.
How old is your Dd? I can't decide if I want to try working on big girl bed this summer of just get an IKEA crib. My DD (newly 2) loves her crib and sleeps wonderfully in it. But it seems like she may be one of the few toddlers still in crib and since I have all summer to work on it perhaps I should give it a go. I just can't decide if it's worth tempting the sleep gods or not...

Happy weekend everyone! Me and DD spent the night with my mom last night while H was out of town. My mom got up wth DD this morning and let me sleep in. It was glorious! H is back home and we are having a quiet night at home.

danvers some of the IKEA cribs transition to toddler beds too, so I figure 2.0 will get many years out of it.
Thanks. I really just need a manual that says - put toddler in big bed at 2.4yrs...
I'm not sure how potty training (my big plan for the summer) is gonna play into all of this either. I think I'm setting myself up for an ambitious summer pre baby 2.0!
My daughter will be 2 in July and she is still in her crib. No plans of transitioning her at this point, she sleeps wonderfully and doesn't climb. I'm not messing with a good thing.
Today was 80 degrees and my good friend's daughter's 1st birthday party. My daughter had a blast playing with all of her toys haha Downside: found a tick on my arm on the way home. Ick! This tick season is supposed to be horrible- looking for the best repellents that are pregnant and toddler safe if anyone has suggestions.
NariaDreaming Good luck tonight - hopefully it won't be too much rain. Nobody has basements in this part of the state but I remember growing up with one and bailing out after heavy rains. I don't miss that part about having a basement!
thatgirlrachel - I think I may have missed that conversation but what is this glorious cookie dough from the store you can buy and eat?!?!
parma986 tit was for the fun day - not the tick! I've already talked to my doctor about mosquitoes and ticks. She advised deet replellant spray but I know that's not everyone's cup of tea.

NariaDreaming its been raining here for almost 24 hours. So much water everywhere! FX you don't have too much bailing to do!
We've had a really good day despite the rain. Lots of family time, a little bit of shopping, got DS's hair cut, then chic fil a for supper. He's in bed now and its time for Netflix.
mkrupar I am by no means a child expert or a potty training one, but I think the fear of regression is a very real one and imo (not that you asked for it) you're doing the right thing, especially considering she has no interest.

What are you watching on Netflix right now? I guess I mean last night. Looking for a new show!

I'm still in season 2 of Crazy Ex GF. But I watched Call the Midwife's Christmas special a few days ago. I ❤ ❤ ❤ Call the Midwife if you haven't watched it yet.
Parenthood, Gilmore Girls, and Friday Night Lights are also among my favorites.

You clearly know how I feel about C EX BF. I loved the second season even more than the first. Did the kinda hot lawyer guy get introduced yet? I went back and forth on if I thought he was good looking and I think I settled on yes. I won't say any more in case you aren't this far.

Loved FNL! I shld watch GG. I think I'd like it.
It took me a bit to get into GG but I ended up liking it.
Yes, I just watched the elevator episode last night. His personality makes him less attractive IMO, but he's getting better...

I can't stop looking at houses for sale! I would love to get a bigger place, but I don't want the bigger mortgage payment or to actually move.
I'm always looking on Redfin. It's become a hobby (mild obsession?) to keep up with the real estate comings and goings in my area. We are NEVER moving again, even if we won the lottery, it's too much work but I love keeping up with real estate.
