I took C to Wild Kratts Live today. Bonding time with my big kid We met my bff and her DD there. It was a blast. They loved it so much. Traffic sucked a whole lot on the way home but it was worth it. And SO got some daddy daughter time in. Much needed. Tomorrow is work. Boo.
Sounds like fun leahks77! I have not tried Wild Kratts with DS, but it's on my list.
We're thinking of doing Paw Patrol Live for DS. I feel like somebody here has been? If so, how was it?
Yes we went! DS loved it. I didn't know what to expect as far as the costumes and set up of it all but it was basically a play set up just like a regular episode. They had their vehicles and all the characters made an appearance. We even lugged DD with us and she was only about 9 months at the time and she did just fine. It was good, I am glad we went.

Hey all! Busy solo parent day for me again. H was helping his brother at his house in the morning and then they went fishing. The kids and I played outside this morning, my mom stopped by for a bit, I had to entertain DS during afternoon nap, and then we went to my mom's to hang out for a bit. We've officially quit laying DS down for naps so I'm trying to adjust to not having a single moment of free time in my day. I don't like it.
DD is seriously such a ham. This morning there was music playing so I was snapping my fingers and kind of dancing a bit, so she held up her hands and moved her fingers as if she was snapping, and clicked her tongue to make the noise. I can't get over the cuteness of everything she does.

We still have a "quiet time" for DS in the afternoons from 1-3pm, mirroring what they do at school. He hasn't napped during it in an eternity, but he has to play (relatively) quietly in his room by himself. He loves his dedicated lego time! And we love a break. Because man, 3 year olds are pieces of work. I highly recommend a quiet time.
Hey ladies, I've had a busy day. This morning I went to barre early, then came home bathed everyone and we all went carpet shopping. I picked out the softest carpet, I'm so excited! Since then I've been at work and it's been actually very busy. I'm only here for another hour.
musicalsilver yes, chocolate took her kids to paw patrol live. I'm bummed they aren't coming close to here, H would love it.
chocolate we have stopped attempting nap as well. He is okaaaaay about quiet time. After a little while he comes out and starts following me around but I can usually set him up with something in the kitchen or living room and he's good And bedtimes are so much easier!! It's almost worth it... Also, yes to cuteness overload babies!! If you ask L to sing she cocks her head to the side and goes "laaaalaaalaaaaa!" in this high pitched funny voice. It's my favorite. I can hardly handle her.

We got out biking! It went well, we all enjoyed it. Hopefully we'll make it a regular thing.
Now Liam is running a fever. Poor little guy. I gave him some Tylenol but I'll be heading up to check on him in a bit because high fevers make me nervous.

I am also doing the quiet time, while DD naps, but he's not in his room. His room is right next door to DD's and he'd be too loud, that's how "naps" we're going so I'm keeping him downstairs with me now. We've basically been sitting on the couch reading quietly and coloring/doing workbooks, so it's at least downtime for me to sit but mentally not much of a break. I have to remind him a lot that it's "nap time" and that we need to be mellow and quiet. Once it's a bit nicer we might just go outside for part of it too.

Yes, he is actually tired at night time now! If he fell asleep for nap he would lay awake for so long but now he's actually tired and falls asleep much faster, so I like that!
This afternoon DH took H to her first father/daughter dance. She was apparently crabby for the first half hour but eventually started having a fun time. I'm sad I didn't get to see them both all dressed up and get her ready. I told him to take all the pics so I hope he got some good ones. I just got off work and am sitting in my car for a minute before I drive home.
The preschool that H will be going to this fall only had afternoon openings so I am going to purposefully cut out naps towards to end of the summer to get her ready for that. S has pretty much switched to 1 nap a day but will take 2 if she gets the chance. These molars are doing a number on her sleep though and she will only nap if I lay with her in my bed for a while.

DS will be in afternoon preschool next year too. I am SO excited. Lol. Just so the whole nap time thing can be avoided all together. At daycare especially. He'll go 5 days a week. And IF we were to have another baby within that school year then it would give me that time of him at school and DD napping at the same time. I've totally thought this through 👌🏻🤷🏻♀️😉

eyelashedviper, yay bikes Boo fever! Does this set surgery back again?
We are one day 2 of our drive home. X'S sleep schedule is SO messed up. I think it's going to take a few days at home to get back to normal. He slept 6 hours last night. That's it. Pray for me.

rivers and roads L's fever has broken but H is hot now. I think they have what A had last week. It starts as a high fever and then finishes with rash. The rash seems more widespread, severe on the little ones but I hope it will be as short-lived as hers!
