I need some book recs. I go through book worm stages where I read a book a week for two months and then I don't read anything except my phone for even longer.
Anyone have any recs for me that you read recently?
Ps - do you E read or physical book read? Physical book only over here. Even if it means traveling with a big 'ole hard cover.
If you're into dystopian or post apocalyptic novels at all I highly recommend Wool (and the rest of the trilogy, Shift and Dust) by Hugh Howey. One of my favorite books I've read in the past couple of years.
Other recent-ish reading highlights include: Rook and Stiletto, both by Daniel O'Malley In the Unlikely Event by Judy Blume The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown Elephant Company by Vicki Constantine Croke
augustblooms thank you for wanting to be my personal book consultant! I like historical fiction the best probably but also like mysteries, lighter fair too but books I've read somewhat recently that I've liked are: Girl Through Glass, Fates and Furies, The Nest (ok), Roses (loved!!) and the sequel Sommerset, All Liane Moriartys books but I'm not obsessed I thought What Alice Forgot was probably her best one, hmmmm Crazy Rich Asians and that sequel, Girl on The Train, Underground Railroad, can't think of any more.
ETA I read this a few years ago, but City if Thieves by David Benioff is excellent. It's historical fiction. So good. Highly recommend.

I'm not sure if you've read any Nora Roberts. They are easy reads, some are more romance and some are crime/mystery plus romance.
For some smuttier contemporary romance reads the author Julie James and Alice Clayton's Wallbanger series. I'm also finishing up Nalini Singhs Rock Kiss series.
If you like historical fiction The Bronze Horseman by Paulina Simons, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society, Code Name Verity, The Firebird & The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley, Burial Rites by Hannah Kent and The Book Thief.
Other recommendations: The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson, Me Before You by JoJo Moyes, The Outlander series, Ready Player One, The Rosie Project, A Thousand Splendid Suns. A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness.
Hopefully there's a few on that list that look interesting to you.
I was going to recommend Fates and Furies, loved it.
I read a lot of random stuff and I prefer my Kindle so I always have options with me. Here are a few suggestions, some older books some more recent. Some fiction some non-fiction, some serious stuff, some fluff:
American Gods (reading it now and enjoying it),
The Passage Trilogy,
The Daily Show: An oral history as told by Jon Stewart,
blackmamba did you watch the series premier of American Gods? It's on Starz, so a bit obscure but H loves the book and was sofa king excited for the tv show we had to get Starz just to watch it.

I want to finish reading before I watch. I've heard good things.
