amberlie I kind of know what you are going through. You have to stop helping them. You will never see that money and it will never get better until they do something. Trust me, I KNOW it's hard. And maybe you don't do it today, but one day you will get there. Based on the dollar figures you are throwing out, it's clearly not just your dad. At very least your mom fully enabling this crap, but likely she is part of the spending problem (a $750 car note in your name? Yikes)
Good luck, just know it's complete bullshit what she is doing to you.
I've been so busy this week. I feel like myself again after the 1st trimester and being sick. So I've meal planned for the month, grocery shopped including Costco, caught up on all our laundry and cleaned the house top to bottom. I have barely sat down in two days. Speaking of which.....are the Fitbit groups still going on? Is there room for me this week?

Up early again to workout. I'm hoping to take E on a walk this morning too. I have some errands to run and I'm contemplating walking there and back. It'd be about a total of 5 miles though. Hoping to get to the park this afternoon too as long as it doesn't rain.
@mrspanpan I would definitely be hurt and annoyed too. And let's be honest, the people who are getting library-wide showers are getting a lot more gifts, and I know that isn't the point for you, but that's really not fair either.

@mrspanpan I definitely would be upset too. At my old work whenever anyone had a baby or major event they had it on our company wide portal. After I had s1, my coworker sent me a text about. 2 months after I had him and told he was never on our portal. (I was still on maternity leave). She took it upon herself to get a photo from me (the same one I sent my supervisor) and emailed hr. I was hurt.
I once mentioned when I travel I self medicate with Dramamine and Xanax, I haven't in awhile cause kids and I'm and always a wreck due to anxiety. I self medicated today and fell great....I need to just do this every time I fly. So much easier.
@janetheconquerer she's been saying she'd do that forever but finally opened a separate account yesterday. So we'll see how that works.
2dumbdogs it's really a long story but is 100% him in terms of spending, though she does absolutely enable by continuing to allow him access to the money. Her car is $630/month. It's in both of our names. When she leased the car, they were better off financially (though their credit was already suffering) so she had me sign to "improve my credit." And it did for a while. But now there are 19 late payments. I've improved my credit to almost 700 over the past year so I don't want to have any more late payments from it. My dad has always spent money this way, but he used to work. So there was an extra $50k/yr for him to squander away without any real consequences. But then he stopped working 4 years ago and kept spending the same way. At first it was okay but now, clearly it's not.
@mrspanpan I do think that is the solution but like you said.. easier said than done.
runningmommy519 about $1200. So I have to deal for at least this month and next, then it will be paid and off my credit. I'll be in a better position to stop lending at that point.
send up a prayer for me. I saw an ad for an actual licensed centre on my commute path that has an infant and a preschool spot. I called right away and they said they had a lot of interest (it was posted last night) and they would call me back. PLEAASEEEEEEE.
The other 2 appts I had were total busts. Under the table, no receipts and no outside time. that would kill my 4 year old.
totally banging my head against the wall about daycare.
Option 1 - no outside time, no receipts, no walks. would spend entire day in one small room.
Option 2 - various family members moving in and out, not able to even say who lives there for sure.
Option 3 - Has a 3 month old baby, 3 year old kid + 4 other kids ALREADY. my kids would make 8 in her sole care
Can I get a big effing nope to all of this?!
Have you heard back from the center?
Turned out to be a licenced home, she was the one with people moving in and out and she's like well if so and so move in I will have to get rid of some spots, etc. Sounds like a giant nightmare so I think that's a no. I have one more home to call tonight and I really hope she's good.

tuscanlatte, I hate that finding daycare is so damn near impossible. Do the three bad options include the center you mentioned earlier, or could that still work out?
