Had my 28 week appointment today. Got my TDAP vaccine and had my glucose test which I passed with flying colors!! Also no anemia this time, had it with DS and iron supplements=constipation no bueno!! It's a happy day. Oh yeah everything else looked well also, HR 140 and strong.
Now fingers crossed my immune system doesn't freak out and cause hours of violent puking tomorrow which is what happens every time I get a vaccine...
I'm heading in this afternoon for the 1 hr glucose test. For some reason I'm really nervous about not passing this time. (I took it the first time at 19 weeks, which is why they're making me do it again even though I passed the first time.)
They didn't say anything about not eating beforehand, so I'm having black beans and a chicken wrap for lunch. I hope the tortilla isn't too many carbs...or the beans...I don't know things about food.
OB appointment was fine. I'm still not back to pre-pregnancy weight, but gaining appropriately. My BP is fine. Baby is growing right on track (fundal height is exactly what it should be) her heartbeat was great. Yet all I can focus on is I failed the 3 hour and I'm seriously a hot mess. Why do I feel like I did something to cause this? Not to mention all the anxiety I already had with the word diabetes to begin with.
Had my one hr glucose test today. Fingers crossed I pass this time around! I had to take the three hour last pregnancy and it's miserable! Not as miserable as actually having gd... but you know.
I was nauseous but no puking. My doctor recommended Tylenol every 6 hrs and Benadryl at bedtime either it worked or my immune system decided not to freak out this time. Luck was on my side, thanks for asking.
I'll find out in a couple of days if I passed the one hour. Here's to hoping! I got my TDAP and Rhogam.
The appointment took forever (2.5 hours) because they got a new computer system Monday. It didn't have any OB/GYN system to it and no prenatal flow sheet. They got one today and I was the first prenatal patient for my midwife. I could hear her in the hall arguing with the woman showing her how to use it about how bad it was. Apparently they have to flip through multiple pages of this system to see if you have GD, see your blood type, etc. She felt really bad when she realized how long I'd been there.
