I only work 1-3 days a week so I don't qualify for any type of paid leave. Luckily, people really like me so I'm not worried about my job security while I take the time I need. I was thinking of just taking off until the first of the year, but may come back sooner if they need me.
DH gets 3 weeks paid paternal leave. He is hoping I can make it to my due date so he can add in a few days of sick leave with his holiday break and stay home until January, too. We'll see what I can do.
@bazi45 , I think it's a Canada versus the US thing. I'm going to be off for almost a full year (and have the option of being off for 18 months) so there's this sense that parents should want to spend all that time with all of their children.
I don't know for sure, but I assume I'm going to really need that break from my preschooler with an infant in the house. XD
I'm in Canada too. Trust me, you WILL need the break. Send them to daycare. EVERYONE does it.
I am 11 weeks today. I don't know when I will tell people. Maybe never. Haha.
I feel the same way. I'm 11 weeks tomorrow. And I'm fat enough I can hide it (I hope) for a while. Though it is baby #3 so rounding out is inevitable sooner rather than later.
I'll be 14 weeks on Friday, and we haven't told any of our friends. I'm thinking a few of them might get kinda mad/annoyed that we haven't told them, so I'm putting it off even more.

Sleepy toddler cuddles are the best. DS woke up a little bit ago because he pooped. But he was more upset than usual so we snuggled for awhile. He sighed and melted into my arms 😍 he never stops moving when he's awake so snuggles are rare.

I'll be 11 weeks on Monday, and I think we will go public this weekend. All our close friends and family know after Monday (I need to call my dad still). I'm having a hard time hiding this bump this week. I am always so excited to tell people until the time comes, then I never know how to say it. Ha.

I never know how either - but it can't be half as bad as H - on Easter there was a pause in the conversation for like 10 seconds and he blurts out "So Peggels is pregnant" - my MIL almost choked LOL

Awe. We are one day apart.
We have only told close friends and local family. Keeping this one on the DL for a bit. Thinking around gender reveal time we will spill the beans.

That cracks me up! That's sort of how I told our immediate family too. I just blurt it out 🙊

That's a good idea too. I'm the worst at keeping secrets. I always intend to wait a long time, and can't. But I'm also the girl who wants to give gifts early and tell my husband what I got him every holiday. Oy.
grumpycat88 @annperkins I meant to ask -any more spotting issues?
Sometimes some brown in the mornings when I wipe but that's it. I've been feeling baby move a lot so that's definitely helped me stop freaking out (in addition to all of you telling me it's normal at this point lol).

I found out yesterday that dh has to attend his MBA graduation ceremony to get his degree. He wasn't planning on going and ignored emails so he missed the cut off for saying he won't be there. Thankfully my brother has agreed to go with me to help contain DS. It's only an hour but it's right before lunch so I'm just gonna load him up with food and hope for a food coma. He's not going to do well with sitting for an hour so I'm just gonna sit in the back so we can escape if needed. Any advice is greatly appreciated. We don't have toddler headphones otherwise I'd like stick him in front of my phone.
Eta I just ordered toddler headphones with overnight shipping lol. I'll pay the $3.99 extra to be prepared.

We still haven't told anyone. I am terrible about bringing it up. I am debating on telling after our next appt which is Monday, or waiting until after we get the Harmony or whatever results.

I'm also trying to figure out how long I can put off getting my maternity clothes out of the attic. Most of my clothes still somewhat fit at the moment.

I have enough work pants that "will do" for now that I keep putting off maternity clothes but each week it seems like another pair of pants gets pushed to the side because they are too uncomfortable so soon...LOL

This is why I became a nurse. Scrubs 4 lyfe. I did score a pair of maternity scrubs last weekend on sale, so yay!
We have our NT scan tomorrow, DH still doesn't want to tell anyone yet. My birthday and DS's birthday are next month, maybe then hahah.

OK, dumb question regarding the NT scan. It does not appear that my doctor does them? She just mentioned at the last appt the anatomy scan at 18ish weeks. What determines who gets them? With DS, I didn't get into see a doctor until I was 12 weeks so I feel like a bit of a noob.
