We survived the graduation! They had a secondary room that was mostly kids. They even had snacks lmao. DS did pretty well and was minorly chatty. He isn't good about whispering lol. Other kids were louder than him. They played the graduation on a big tv in the room so we were still able to see it. Sticker book and snacks were the most popular items to keep him busy.
DS was never one to shoot poop up walls or anything. I don't have a bad poop story at all!! But the runny baby poops are better in some cases as they aren't a wriggly toddler that just wants to touch their private parts while it's covered in poop. That is not fun.
Yes, or a potty training toddler who only wants to poop in her underwear, which results in pulling them down and poop nuggets rolling out on to the bathroom floor. Which then results in said toddler delightfully saying "poop nuggets!!"
Not that i know anyone that falls into this category.
I certainly don't.
But if I did, he would say, "It's so stinky! It's disgusting!" and then I would make a Nic Cage face at him.
H took my 12w picture today. Not only is my face already puffy, but I seriously rounded out this week.
I wish I were one of those pregnant ladies that only expanded to the front... But I definitely expand to the side as well.
Random thought about rounding out lol.
I get bigger everywhere, unfortunately. I pulled out my jeans in a size up last week because I'm not ready for maternity pants yet, but the legs on my regular ones were really tight all the way down. Ughughugh.
Why is everyone reading the handmaids tale? I read it a billion years ago. I worked over night and slept from 8am-1pm. Groceries have been bought. Need to start building an ark because this rain ☔️ doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon!
I made it to the gym and managed 20 minutes on the elliptical and 15 on the bike. I definitely didn't push myself. Then I came home, ate lunch, and took a nap. lol

I think because the show just came out on Hulu. I am trying to read it before I start the series.
Also because it seems like it ties in with our current political climate, from what I've read. :/
Ahhh makes sense!! She has a ton of good books that are all politically charged/satire.

+1 to reading the book now because of the show. I read 1984 and Brave New world in high school. But I wish they would have included the Handmaid's tale too.
On the topic of poop, SO and I tend to describe texture in terms of food. Hersheys kiss, brownie, mousse, pudding all are terms commonly heard to describe texture.i guess it should be noted he is a culinary fella so food texture is a known and helps him communicate to the pediatrician when they ask.

DH just took DS for a diaper change ... I'm halftempted to ask him in these terms how the poop was.
On a different note, I will never look at brown desserts in the same way.
I was lucky with DS and was all bump, I really hope I'm that lucky this time around!! Here's to hoping.
It's going to be time to get out of bed in a minute, DS is happily taking to himself in his cot in his room but it will turn to whines in a minute with the occasional "mama mama" boy call your father
With DD I had an initial widening, then was all belly until my last month, then I expanded all over again. I seem to be moving this direction again this time.

I beg to differ. I hate Margaret Atwood so much. This may be because I have been forced to read so many of her books, but ugh. So many other sci-fi/dystopian books out there which are better. So many.
I found that I didn't like a lot of the required reading in high school/college simply because I was forced to read it. I've since gone back and reread some of them and liked them lol.
I'm hoping to start the Handmaid's tale tonight and will be reading with a comparison to the other dystopian novels I've read.
Have any of you been asked about showers yet? My bff has known since right after I got my bfp, so she's chomping at the bit to start planning a shower. She knows it freaks me out though, so she basically just told me to tell her when I want to talk details. I think I'll wait until after my anatomy scan on June 5th, but it's gotten me starting to think about guest lists and stuff already.

That's so sweet! No shower here (hopefully) -- 2nd baby. My mom and in laws threw us a surprise baby shower when I was like ... 32 ish weeks with DS. None of my close friends live anywhere near us so it was mostly family.
I've decided to tell people at work this week and then I think I'll post on social media next week at some point between 15-16 weeks. This is the photo I'm going to use.

Not likely going to have a shower (baby #3). We didn't have one for DD. For DS we had two, one thrown by each of our moms. I was 30+ weeks. That's sweet of your friend. I like having showers later, since the big ole belly is cute in pictures.

Yeah, we're thinking that the shower will be in early September, so I'll be 32ish weeks, but I think she wants to start to get a place booked sooner rather than later.
