Who has been watching it? I think it's really well done but I am finding it triggering in so many ways. I've read the book twice so I thought I was prepared for it...
I never read the book but since seeing the previews I was counting the days until it came out. I think the show is excellent and very well done so far but it is definitely triggering. I was telling H that it's a hard show to watch both as a woman and as someone who's been through IF and loss.
I'm a little bummed that Offred's mom isn't in the series, although I can see how a Second Wave feminist is much more relevant in a 1980's context. And Moira pretty effectively takes over the story function so far.
It's really intense, but so well done. I only watched the first episode so far, though - I want to watch the others, but like you guys, it's a lot to ingest, and not something I always want to watch after a long day with a baby. Nice to see that Hulu is stepping it up with their originals, though.
