DD is pretty firmly in 3 month stuff. 0-3 fits perfectly but 3 month Carter's brand fits great. Pants are a little long but she's packing on the weight so it's not like she's swimming in it.
F just moved into 0-3 and he's still in newborn diapers. But he's a peanut. I can't believe some of you are in 3-6 and size 2 diapers already! Time is flying.
ah yeah, makes sense. We were given a bunch as gifts and handmedowns, plus we've been wearing them since birth. She's currently just at 10 pounds, and some of them are too small. Some are still big. I wish the different brands were more standard in sizes.
The size differences between brands are so frustrating. And it only gets worse as the babies get bigger. You'll eventually figure out which brand fits your baby's proportions best, and that will eliminate a good bit of the guesswork.
Preach. They need to standardize kids' clothing. So annoying.

So stinking true. DS's wardrobe is old navy, Carter's and jumping bean from Kohls because it makes shopping for him easy.
A lot of the places I shop (carters and target) don't have 0-3 and the places that I have found those sizes says up to 12 pounds. With my not so scientific measurements he is about 10 pounds so I didn't see the point.
Cat and Jack at target does 0-3 and 3-6.
Oh course I recently found some other things there. Damn it

We are going to move out of newborn diapers this week when we run out of those because he is getting big and I really don't want to by another box.

I'm in a similar place. F was 8lb 4 oz at our appointment last Friday and I only have a 1/2 a box of newborn left. I'm hoping he'll fit in size 1 when they run out!
T is slightly to big for the newborn clothes but 3M look ridiculous on him. They need a newborn and half size or something.
This is totally my kid. We got a lot of hand me downs from my brother, who has a boy a little older than C. Some of the nb stuff I've tossed in a bin because they are too tight now. Some nb still fits well. But a lot of the 0-3 stuff is still too big.

Still on the verge of 0-3, but also still in newborn diapers. I think he's close to moving to 1s, as the newborn seem to be getting slightly snug, but the 1s are ginormous on him. We have about 2/3 a box of newborn left, and we may call it quits on newborn size when they are gone.

DD just took an hour and 45 minute nap in her swing, ate for about 15 minutes and it back out. I'm holding her for this one though. I go back to work next week so we don't have much more time to snuggle like this.
We are just moving to 3 to 6 month clothes. I was clearing out the smaller clothes this morning. I am finishing up the size 1 diapers and bought size 2 to go to daycare.

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! I didn't post much yesterday because DD had one of those scream and not sleep days. But they are much less frequent so horray!
Happy birthday .! RE baby headphones: I keep meaning to get some but haven't and I've taken my kids to airshows with fighter jets without them. DS had routine hearing testing and it came out great. I would go with maybe for a movie, nope for the wedding. My baby also only likes to poop in freshly changed diapers jnow. So inconvenient. Totally agree on "newborn and a half sizing" meggypoo1. Or like "newborn long" because DD had room in the belly on newborn but not lengthwise. Happy belated birthday @priss08, hope it's a better day! Enjoy the snuggles erinshelley21.

Thanks for all the kind words yesterday ladies, it was a rough one and the support was much needed! We had a better night where I actually got some sleep even though she had to be in our bed the whole time.
It's just after noon here and I'm tossing 3 year olds in beds for naps. These two almost make learning a new job seem to be a relaxing thing... in comparison.
Soo, I found these five questions that it is suggested you sit down and answer to each other weekly to help communication in a marriage. Last night dh and I tried it. We both appreciated the time and answers a lot. I definitely feel less stressed about that part of life today. 😊

What are the questions?
Oops! I was on mobile and the tiny one was nursing.. fell asleep and choked himself for a moment >< I must have hit something scrambling to put the phone down and get him settled and calmed.
In any case! These come from a Christian Contemporary Artist's (Brandon Heath) wife, so question five can be modified to fit individual beliefs.
The questions are :
1. How did you feel loved this past week? 2. What does your upcoming week look like? 3. How would you feel most loved and encouraged in the days ahead? 4. How would you feel best pursued in intimacy this week? 5. How can I pray for you this week?
I struggled with #2 because I have been having trouble leaning on my dh.. he is so stressed about finances and work that I just kinda keep movin' along on my own over here.
and with #4 I had to admit to him that despite my attraction to him, for the first time in memory, I have had no libido due to being overwhelmed with five kids, part time job, finances, virtual school.. etc. He responded me by kissing me so perfectly. ~swoon~
bookish , I found some special needs screening where they lower the volume and leave lights on but this month's movie I have no interest in. I want to go see beauty & the beast, and guardians of the galaxy.
Our first post-baby date might be to see Guardians of the Galaxy. Our local theater has some special needs screenings too but I didn't see any for this month yet!
