Have fun at the zoo lakegirl! tex, have a good first day back at work.
I am tired. E was a loud sleeper last night and I kept hearing her on the monitors. Yesterday was the nanny's last day today my dad is watching her. He is so excited to bond with her.
lakegirl, have fun! My H and I are taking off next Monday and we're all going to the Zoo!!! tex, good luck today! peaseblossom55, commiseration on the tired front. We had a kinda long wake-up last night after I had a late bedtime. Wah. carrots, hope your teeth are perfect!
Today is my day off. I haven't left the house yet but I do plan to. I was planning to go to lactation circle today to get a weight on C, but I don't think I'll make it. Shopping for some photo props and gym are about my only definite plans for today
It seems like most of us are having a good day so far which is awesome cakes. I got my lactation cookies in yesterday! They're cookie bars and they taste like cookie dough. Which is delicious. But also rich so I didn't get all 3 morning cookies eaten this morning. Fingers crossed they work well. Work has been really stressful this morning and I'm worried it'll affect my output even with the boob cookies. I went out last night and picked up formula finally. At least my kid won't starve and maybe I'll get lucky with these cookies and be able to keep formula to minimal use.
I'm working from home and trying to get my household together on the side. Also need to get my car inspected since it was due in April...and it's now May... 😬

thank you lakegirl, I know she meant well. one of the hardest parts of getting older for me is remembering my parents are just people too, they aren't always right. I won't tell my baby this for at least 3 decades.
peaseblossom55 it's the best. I recommend the aquarium first because it's more interesting/colorful for them to look at because you can get closer. I took ds when he was 9 months or so and he loved it.
rinny I'm lucky my inlaws got a season pass and live right by the zoo. They renewed it today and I'm excited.
This might have been our best zoo trip yet. Ds is really starting to "get" the zoo and interact with the play station areas they have. The weather was perfect, most of the animals were active, and it wasn't to crowded. We were the first through the gate and walking into an empty zoo was amazing. It was nice that the jaguar exhibit members only this week before it opens to the public so we didn't have to fight the field trip kids. Plus BABY JAGUARS. Guys, they were adorable and so playful. I wanted to watch them all day. The only downside was that our adopted elk weren't in their enclosure because it was being cleaned.
Note to self: Wear pump bra to work the rest of the week. Pumping with my regular nursing bra was a pain the ass.
I wear camisole tanks to work (instead of a bra). When i pump, i just pull the straps down, and put my pump bra on. I don't wear the pumping bra as a bra because, well, have you seen what that looks like under clothes?

lakegirl, baby animals!!! Once we start going, I'm totally getting a membership for perks like that!
I agree with judyblume14,about the how can you not eat cookies! however I get a sour stomach with too much sugar in the morning too thelittleredm, in my case, I feel my body is trying to stop my poor decision making or it would be cake three meals a day.
peaseblossom55, Tuesdays are DH's golf nights, if it wasn't with his grandfather, I'd be way more pissed.
vent ahead
Does anyone else have an issue with their husbands and work/kid pick up? Yes I want to spend as much time with H as possible, and am annoyed when DH CAN but doesn't try to get out of work early, but also that he takes it for granted that I will leave work and do it. He manages to get to work early and leave early on golf days, but its just never possible on a non golf day? I call bullshit. I'm so behind at work, stressed out, overwhelmed and he never steps up so I can stay late at work, which he does every day. I just feel like he thinks his job is more important than mine. I love him, but He is unintentionally selfish, and it is starting to piss me off big time.
Hi guys! We also went to the zoo today. We are doing a 6 week stroller tour, today DD1 got to pet and feed a sheep in the farm area. DD1 turned 2 yesterday and we had a little family party for her last night, it was fun! The baby is doing great, she's making all sorts of adorable sounds!
LovesMeSomeCake - have you tried a pickup schedule? You do Mon/Weds/Fri and him Tues/Thurs? Or one of you drops and the other picks?
+1 I I like the idea of assigned nights on pick up. You can then use that extra time on nights u don't pick up to work more, get a pedicure or get groceries.
