This far DD has been raised/parented by google. I solve most questions and parenting issues with google (or TCF) searches. A good pediatrician has also been invaluable for the questions google can't (or shouldn't) answer.
D13 bmb kept DS and I alive during early infancy and the eternal nights awake. Once we reached toddlerhood, I fell off the bmb map. But I had irl mom friends who took over and have kept us going since.
My church family has been the biggest resource for support. They have really taken care of us as a family.
The YMCA has a promotion going on where the joining fee is $0 (normally $75) so I suppose its time to stop procrastinating that, and get H and I signed up. They have a class called Aqua Zumba that I'm kind of excited to try.

I just got to my hotel room for the night. If anyone needs me, I'll be curled up in this big comfy king sized bed watching trash TV until I pass out at 9pm.
I'm already at the point where my stomach gets full super quick and it makes me feel bloated the rest of the night... definitely don't remember this happening so early last time.

Love tit for commiseration. I'm there too. What the heck??
cougarette my phone did an upgrade, and everything is now all wrong with the autocorrect. It replaces legitimate words with other words. And it won't correct obvious mistakes like it used to. It also randomly capitalizes words in the middle of sentences.
Ugh my phone just updated to Android 7.0 and now my autocorrect is doing this to me too. I spelled the word correctly and it is a word in a standard dictionary, not slang - why are you changing it?
I did live on Kellymom. I will strongly recommend it. And my mom is an LC who stayed with me the first few days. So i had advantages, but from what I've seen with my friends books tend to stress people out when that style doesn't work perfectly for their kid or normal things like sleep regressions come up.
Thank you for reminding me about kellymom! Such a good resource.
Oh, dumb question. Do I need to be reading books on how to keep a tiny human alive and such? Like, with IF for so long, I have been so focused on getting pregnant and now that I am, I'm kind of meh about prepping for the arrival of baby. I mean, as far as for the physical arrival of baby, not not being excited.
My plan was gestate for 8 or 9 months, and then just kind of wing it. Is this bad? Am I setting myself up for struggles?
This seems logical and is kinda what I did. But I had the forum so that was helpful. I bought a few books and flipped through. But then after BabyShy arrived, H and I would panic read what made us anxious. He know everything about baby bowels but I know a lot about baby vision and SIDS. It works out and every kid is different.

The realtor called us and we had the strongest loan option and the buyers loved my letter, so we only had to bump our offer up to half the difference between us and the highest offer and we are most likely getting the house.

Oh hey guys!...trying to keep my head out of the water here. Thank god! I think work is slowing coming back to normal what ever that is. I don't think I can take week 5 of continuous hell much longer.
Somewhat on the topic of classes - if you are a FTM and want to try to breastfeed, I think it is worthwhile to see if you have any breastfeeding support groups locally. We had some major weight gain issues with DS at first related to a tongue tie, but my hospital had twice-a-week BF support groups where you could go for free to ask the nurse IBCLCs for help with BFing issues and do milk transfer weigh ins. I found that to be extremely helpful (along with a supportive pedi).
Cythe, I flew by the seat of my pants and still doing it lol! OK. well I did however read the 1 book that the clinic gave me in the bag of stuff though. I mean I am like clueless and banking on my mom being around to help but....soemthing came up and she couldn't make it until DS was 2.5 months so lots of phone calls to my sister and friends. I remember when we got home from the hospital and DH and I looked at each other and we're like .....and now what do we do! lol! I concur with arimaythea regarding the above. Most hospitals and even your pedi's office will have some sort of BF group with LCs to help with latching etc. if nursing is what you're planning to do. Even your pedis office will let you do a weighted feeding to check on how much your babe is getting. Yeah! also get a dvd from the library of the Happiest Baby on the Block. We found that out at my pedi's office during one of our check ups when right after our appt. I had to feed DS so we used their BF room and DH was bored and popped the video into the VCR and we were chuckling watching it and his technique bloody works! SaveSave
