D had a pretty good night. She woke up at 1:30 and 5:45. She just finished nursing and is back asleep, cuddled against me, and snoring. She's so sweet and peaceful. I wish I didn't have to get up.
Morning! I'm at work enjoying some coffee and a Tim Hortons breakfast sandwich. My group is ordering pizza for lunch today during our staff meeting which I'm excited about. I'm thinking I need to do a salad for dinner after all this though.
H is going on his annual golf trip this weekend and I apparently forgot that he was leaving tonight, not tomorrow morning. So I'm on my own with C for 3 nights. Some of my girlfriends were talking about doing brunch but there's babysitter issues since the guys are gone. Might just be me and one friend. We really need to make more of an effort to have girls nights and girls trips. The boys have this golf trip, golf throughout the summer, football in the fall and sometimes an away game trip. I'm going to initiate to start AT LEAST a monthly girls night and maybe a trip this summer.
goldenlove3 my H goes to Dad's beers once a month with the neighbourhood. Someone had started it years ago and new people cycle in and out. He is always bugging me to set up a Mom's night. But im comfy on the poor excuse couch of just being oh so tired. But you're right, we need to make more of an effort to be social too!
Morning! At work and pumping, then I'm going to see if I can make an iced latte from our coffee machine. I've been trying something new each day this week to spice up my life. So far I've managed a chai latte, americano, and an iced americano. Clearly my life is exciting.
I did score a free pair of LLR leggings last night while buying my mom a Mother's Day gift!

Ha if it was the neighborhood moms, I probably wouldn't go because I hate meeting new people.
goldenlove3 DH does things like goes to his runs and goes to sports stuff with his dad. In the past few years he's gone to Vegas with his friends twice and Nebraska for a football game. But I still feel guilty leaving for a few hours to have some alone time or do something with my mom or my friends. He is happy to let me go, but I feel weird about it.
waitwhat My toddler actually slept some, but is being whiny as well. She doesn't usually wake up happy and hates when DH leaves for work. I guess at least she has an excuse?
Yum tjanca22! I'd love to be able to make my own lattes.
Afm.. We are going to a Kentucky Derby craft playdate. We're going to make paper derby hats, have virgin mint juleps, and let the kids go nuts. I'm looking forward to a cup of coffee and some bread the host is making. Should be fun. Then shopping this afternoon. I'm ridiculously sore today and my run was laughable, but I feel pretty good today.
Good morning!! That's great news on the good nights sleep dashook and ClassyMrsA !
Unfortunately mine was more on par with danib and waitwhat but that's ok, there's always tonight.
Just in the office. Working. Drinking my coffee and wishing I had sweets at my desk. What is wrong with me?!
goldenlove3 You NEED to be the moms night ring leader and enforcer, don't wait for someone else. Sometimes only one or two will make it but you deserve it. And you should def look into a moms trip if you guys can swing it.
Our town does a really big Memorial Day parade. For me, going back to childhood, it's always been a memorable tradition marking the start to summer, seeing all my friends and families from town, it's just a really big deal here. So now we're approaching this years and I'm wondering if it's safe and/or smart to take the babies?? There will be marching bands, fire trucks, ancient Mariners who shoot off a small cannon, etc so a lot of noise.
kleigh I'd go to the parade, it sounds like fun and the babies might like seeing new things and looking around. Can you buy noise canceling earphones for them? Or make sure to cover their ears when the trucks and cannons go by?

My mom suggested earphones too! I had no idea they'd make those for babies, I'm going to check that out. They would love this, there is so much to see!
ETA they do make them tjanca22 thank you!! Problem solved !

I'm getting ready to take M to her first 'wee little singers' class. I'm it exactly what to expect, other than singing? I hope the other moms aren't mean.
ClassyMrsA I think that's how so many of us are. We feel guilty for leaving them, even though we deserve it. H definitely has never discouraged me from doing anything but it's just on us girls to actually DO it.
kleigh That sounds like fun! Definitely go! We have the Thanksgiving day parade downtown and I'd love to start going as a tradition, but I'm easily discouraged by bad weather. Maybe letting C and his cousins enjoy it together will push us to actually do it.

Any else always jealous of ClassyMrsA and her fun filled days? I can't decide if I want to be you for a day or one of your kids because it sure sounds like they always have a fun day.
sophiegrace if we're talking LLR, I only have tried one of a few different pieces. Their leggings, a randy, a classic T, Julia and Cassie. I like the Cassie that I have because of the print and I always get compliments on it. I guess I'm not a very good lularoe-er! But I did find two awesome outfits for my mom for Mother's Day and I impressed myself that I was able to pull these two together! Me, my two sisters and brother are all going in on these two outfits for her! She never buys anything for herself so I'm excited to see what she thinks!

Yes, me! MrsA is clearly an amazing mom.
More reason for y'all to come visit me! Then you can come to playgroup and make random crafts/eat toddler snacks with me. Lol. Also, thanks dashook. I don't always feel amazing so it's nice to hear.
waitwhat That is crazy! I'd be staring at him the rest of the day to try and catch him moving. My parents like to tell the story of my brother learning to crawl. He had shown no signs of being mobile and my parents set him down in the living room while they had dinner. Suddenly, they heard him crying. He had crawled into the fireplace (not on of course) and hit his head. They were shocked.
waitwhat This has happened in my house almost daily. I can stare at these babies ALL DAY. The three minutes I turn my back to rep are a bottle and they are halfway across the room!!!! Now I've since seen Adeline and yes, she rolls about ten times in a row like a gymnast. And I think what Alec is doing is rolling, then spinning like a dial, then rolling, then spinning like a dial. It's like they know when we're watching.. Like the whole "camera comes out and I must stop whatever cute thing I'm doing" phenomenon.
I totally agree that ClassyMrsA always does the fun stuff. How do you guys even come up with this stuff.
@kleigh we used baby banz for a wedding and they were a total hit! Highly recommend.
I had a target run last night and they marked down a lot of cute baby stuff and out new summer stuff, I got a cute chambray popsicle romper for summer holidays.
Oh and daycare is mixing formula and BM for her bottles since she's picky about formula there, I should just not care, right? As long as she's drinking them, NBD?
kleigh Pinterest. It also helps having 4 or 5 people people plan it. I could go into all the details of how we do stuff, but I seriously doubt you'd want to read that.
goldenlove3 No we have not!!! I'm so happy he ends up wth Robin but I feel like they spent yeeeeeears setting things up and then blew through their ending in one episode. That pissed me off. I think it deserves more time than that. How about you??
