Been laying in bed for an hour listening to the girls play on the monitor in their room while I snuggle this hunk. Today is supposed to be really warm so we'll be outside all day. Plan on trying a new walking trail down to the water MIL told me about.
I went shopping the other day and I managed to find three pairs of dress pants in the next size up. Between that and finding some shoes (half a size up) I feel somewhat more prepared to return to work. Still not happy about it but it's looking more doable.

R had an awesome night of sleep sleeping from 7-5:45. I feel awful since my first PP period showed up late last night. Today will be a low key day until rehearsal tonight.
That sounds like my night too notagoddess. Waaaaah. I think B has hit his 4 month sleep regression.
Busy day filled with meetings for me today. I also have to work late so DH is picking up the kids from daycare (for like the first time ever). He asked me today where the extra infant carseat base was this morning. That shows you how much of a hand he's had in helping with B since he's been born. ::eye roll::
On the upside, I have a girls night planned tomorrow with some bffs. We're getting a hotel and going to stuff our faces with good food followed by mani/pedis while our Hs are home with all our kids. SO looking forward to it.

shellbell - Probably overeating on the boob v. the bottle. Or the angle - laying down to nurse may trigger the gag reflux v. being more upright with a bottle.
I'm super annoyed that all these huge tasks were left to this week. MH hasn't done anything he said he would while we were on leave together. So today, after taking J to school and running to Target, I spent the morning tidying up the house so the electrician could install ceiling fans upstairs. When the electrician leaves, I'm packing up C so I can get groceries and order J's birthday nuggets from CFA and order her cake from BJs. Then, off to the bank to take care of some stuff and open C an account. Then, pick J up, make dinner, do bedtime routine, and finally run to Party City to get supplies for J's three bday parties (my family Saturday, ILs Wednesday, and daycare Thursday).
MH is currently playing online poker.
And I'm shooting lasers with my eyes.
But I got a new top and replaced my black and white cardigans. Should be ready for work on Monday! And tomorrow we're dropping the kids at the IL's so MH and I can get apps and margaritas somewhere.

I'm feeding R and then getting in the road. Me and the kids are going "home" for the weekend. Tomorrow is my dad's 65th bday and my family is all going out for Mexican tonight. My dad doesn't know I'm coming, he'll be surprised.
This has been a crazy morning because I originally was only bringing the baby with me to surprise dad for his bday and was coming back tomorrow afternoon. But DH has a huge gala fundraiser for work that will take all his time this weekend and we are going to get so much rain the next few days that C's soccer will most likely be cancelled. So this morning I decided to bring C with us and stay until Saturday night or Sunday morning. So I had to add clothes for me and R, pack a bag for C, and go get C from daycare.
R had been sleeping pretty good the last few nights, so I'm crossing my fingers this time away from home doesn't mess with it.

T had a better night and is less fussy today. I'm meeting a friend and her baby soon. I'm getting some cloth diapers as a gift for a friend and thinking of trying some myself. Am I nuts? LMK.

I just got home from having lunch with a friend and she gave me a bag of clothing that her neighbor gave her from the yard sale last weekend. I just sorted through it and it was full of Steelers and Penguins gear! Momma is really excited, DH will be less than thrilled.

Baby id currently napping on the couch next to me in my office because the pnp is all of the sudden a terrible punishment. I'm being slightly more productive than I thought I would be with him since he's been eating like it's going out of style lately. My dad is coming tonight to spend the night since he has a work thing here, it'll be nice to see just him for a bit.
Also what kind of magic are y'all using to get your babies to sleep that well? DS2 is down at 7 up at 11, then 3, then 5 or 6, then up for the day at 7:30. SO TIRED...

notagoddess beautiful smiling in her sleep! Sorry for so many night wake ups!
crazycatlady6 sorry about your period. That sucks! My first one was horrible too; but it gets better.
ellabee sorry you think B hit his 4 month regression; I refuse to admit that will happen with R
shellbell R basically was miserable breastfeeding. Idk if it was reflux related but now she gets only bottles of breastmilk and she's happier, sleeping better and I'm exclusively pumping (which I cannot stand, but I'm willing to do for now).
@billyblumber I know others on here cloth diaper...but in my opinion....yes, you are nuts lol. I would NEVER want to cloth diaper. (No offense to those that do at all).

I'm fried from back to back nights of work. Can't wait for bed time already and hoping R sleeps as well for me, as she has for DH...but....let's be real, it probably won't happen. I also cannot wait to hit the gym tomorrow morning. I hope I wake up feeling energized and make the most of it!

I got to go to the grocery store and Costco with just the baby because H's schedule randomly changed for two days. Downside: Solo bedtime two nights in a row.

DS is still asleep at Mother's Day out. Pick up was 30 minutes ago and he apparently didn't eat his lunch. I hope he isn't getting sick. Ain't nobody got time for that.

I've been spiraling on the f'ing ahca crap all day.
None of them ever get to try and tell anyone that they're pro-life ever again. You know, since they're working so hard to piss away everyone's healthcare. Freaking everything is a gd pre-existing condition to them for which we are all screwed.

Sorry, all. I'm livid right now.
Can someone explain this to me in the simplest terms because I know nothing and I'm too sleep deprived to try and figure it out myself...

If you have a preexisting condition, you can be denied coverage or charged a higher premium. Preexisting conditions include: pregnancy, csections, PPA/D, rape, domestic violence.

Well...that is something. I can't see this possibly passing. But at this rate, I guess anything could happen. Sad, discouraging, enraging.

shellbell, do you have a strong let down? If so she may be gasping too much there and taking in air where that wouldn't happen with a bottle.
billybumbler I am cloth all the way. Have exclusively cloth diapered all of my kids from the 1st day home. I even travel woth them. It's really not as complicated as people think it is, I say go for it.
musicallyinclined, DD1 was amazing at sleep, DD2 was bad at falling asleep but once she was out was a champ, DS is less talented in this area. I just keep telling myself "it will come, it will come". I've already resigned to not sleeping through the night ever again, though I've pretty much been pregnant and/or breastfeeding for almost 6 years so maybe I'm just used to it now.
AFM: our day out was great and DH's sponsor called and he's going to send over 2 guys to mow my lawn tomorrow as their PT 😂 so I'm off to clean the dog shit from the yard.
