I have Today Show on in the background and David Blaine was just on. He did some card trick. But I think he messed up. Unless I missed something. Like awkward AF.
I'm still not ready for today. No reason. Just woke up not ready to Mom. Tough shit I suppose! My sister and her fiancé are coming in this afternoon for the weekend. Hopefully I can plan something, the rain is putting a bit of a damper on things.
It's pouring rain. Pouring. We are a bit stir crazy after being in the house for 48hrs thanks stomach bug, but not enough to face that rain so here we are watching shows.
I am going on a cruise in a month. Eek! I need a swimsuit blah. I had a tankini when I was nursing S but what fit over my boobs was absolutely ginormous in the tank part. However I don't want an actual bikini because between the toddler and the baby I don't foresee it staying in place! Halp?
Me and C survived our first night alone. Really it wasn't a big deal, I just hate being alone at night. I was actually considering going to my parents tonight but we'll see.
Just got done feeding C some pears, mango, and banana oatmeal. Trying to decide if I should make eggs for breakfast or just have coffee and cookies. They're made from almond and coconut flour so it's not REALLY a cookie, right?
Morning. We slept pretty well and the toddler decided to stay in her own bed until 6:45. That's a win.
Lilah's cold seems to have moved down. She's a bit raspy, but no fever. Our drs office has weekend and evening hours so I'm not in a hurry to rush over in case. If it gets worse or a fever develops I'll take her in.
I have to go to Target before our playdate this morning. We are making mom's club shirts for the March of Dimes Walk we are doing as a fundraiser. I'm excited that it's Friday! Tomorrow dh and I are going on a date. Almost there.
waitwhat That is awesome!!! Good luck again tonight!!
aggiebug Raining here too. Blah. I also need to find a bathing suit before I actually need one this summer and am thinking about a one piece to hide twin skin and my belly button lol. But historically they haven't worked for me bc I feel like I must have a slightly longer torso than average so it pulls down and rides up. Let us know if you find a good suit.
starbuck27 Crap I hope it breaks soon, when are they getting their 6 month shots? I'm assuming they can't do it if he's sick?
waitwhat I am not opposed to anything that fits and stays covering the important parts! I seem to have a long torso so they have always fit a bit funny and my bust is proportionally much larger than the rest of me that I have found, or maybe just assumed, that separates where I can buy different sizes for top and bottom would be better.
kleigh if you are mostly proportional you might look into Landsend swimsuits, they have some good suits and lots of good reviews. I actually wish they worked for me but they sell in Tshirt sizes not bra sizes if that makes sense so they don't work well for me.
If they're willing to let him cry a bit maybe the next two nights will really cement the idea in there that crib=sleep?
yeah I am sort of thinking this can be a good thing. B also slept through the entire thing so I'm really excited about that.
Yeah don't mind me I have MAJOR short term memory loss... Totally forgot about the wedding. Good thing I'm not supposed to be there. I agree with sophiegrace !

I haven't forgotten only because I've been looking forward the live blog of waitwhat bringing down the house all week.
How miserable starbuck27, I hope he's feeling better soon and everyone's mood improves. Say hi to your dad for me this weekend. I won't be seeing it in theaters and I'm a little bummed.
Do you want to be able to nurse in it too aggiebug? I hate swimsuit shopping. LOATHE it. I have the opposite problem with tops. Was hoping BF would throw me a bone, but now I'm just president of the itty bitty titty committee and co chair for the lopsided alliance. Oh well....
goldenlove3 C's breakfast sounds amazing, I'll have to try mixing some stuff for M! Coffee and cookies sound so good.
I hope Lilah can skip out on going to the pedi ClassyMrsA. Excited for you to have a date night tomorrow!!
kleigh would one of those 50 styles high wasted two pieces work for you?
waitwhat aaaaaaahhhhhhh, congratulations!! Now do you have any leftover sleep juju's to share?
starbuck27 hope your groups health and mood improve today.
Re: bathing suits. Does anyone enjoy shopping for them?? I just keep putting it off and then use the same suit for a few years. But that's no fun either! I might try on my maternity tankini from last year and see if it works this summer.
We had E's 6 month appt this morning. The doc said to try this diet for another week or two and if it doesn't make and maintain a big difference, then we'll start her on some meds. Otherwise, everything was good.
So now I don't know what to do about this wedding tomorrow. It's not a sit down dinner. Just buffet and stations. So it's going to be really hard to figure out what doesn't have any dairy. I'm thinking of just limiting the obvious offenders and not stressing about milk/butter ingredients. Is that awful? Completely selfish?

Hola!
We're having a taco bar at work for lunch today. I can't wait!! For breakfast I had a rice krispy treat and a bag of Doritos, so obviously I'm making excellent choices today.
hangry I don't think that's awful or selfish!! I think eliminating it as best you can will even make a difference, not that I know what I'm talking about, but I imagine the little you might take in wont be enough to make or break the experiment.
jubilantsquirrel You had dessert first, that's all - YOLOing it up.
I made us a nice healthy breakfast today! Scrambled eggs with a side of Fage, blueberries, and granola.
Naturally I need to cancel that out with some bad decisions so lunch is a frozen burrito and nacho chips with melt s cheese (a la stepbrothers, anyone know and like that movie? It's only the best ever)

Oh! So we just very recently started the ground work for potty training. DS1 finally started showing a little bit of interest in it so we bought a little toilet seat and a step ladder thing. All we've been doing is getting him naked each evening and letting him run around. We leave the bathroom door open and encourage him to get on the toilet. He likes sitting on it but won't stay put for long and so far hasn't actually used the toilet.
Anyway, last night during naked time I was feeding DS2 some bananas and I could see the bathroom from here I was at. DS1 was just running around naked and I saw him go into the bathroom and climb up on the toilet but I didn't see him take his little seat off of the toilet. When he sat down he fell completely in! He kind of let out a yelp and I ran over and pulled him out and he ran away. As I was putting his little seat back on the toilet he came running back over to me holding a wipe saying "Wipe, please! Wipe, please!" I was trying so hard not to laugh, but it was seriously the funniest thing ever, poor kid!
Not much going on today. Need to do some cleaning and need to stop and get one last little piece for my Elfster before I ship! Decent day today, so we might head to the park after nap time. Oh and L decided to become mobile today. She now gets on all fours and scoots backwards! Somebody hold me! I want my baby back!!
