Good morning! Today is supposed to be in the 70s with little wind. I am excited to spend most of the day outside. Today is also the start of the Starbucks frapp half priced happy hour so I will be going there after nap, and I am so excited to try the dark chocolate mint one. This evening my older sister invited us over for margs and a bonfire, so that'll be fun.
That sounds like a great day trtlcrzy. It's supposed to be cold and rainy here for days. Not excited. I have zero energy to parent today. I think we will be watching a movie and going to kid gym...
I think I'll be hitting up a Starbucks at some point today too. Happy hour is 3-5? Or is it 6?
I had the best sleep in a while last night. I actually managed to get myself in bed around 11, and we all slept in until 8. DD came into our bed at 4:30 though, so when I took her back to bed , I told her she could get up at 7.
It's supposed to be nice today so I'll probably take the kids to the park. Right now I'm waiting at the car dealership for an oil change. Hopefully it won't be too long

swim, I think Starbucks happy hour goes until 6. That new mint frap is calling to me, too, trtlcrzy.
DD got sent home from daycare yesterday. I would say 80% of the time she gets sent home, we find a new tooth in her mouth within 24 hours and, sure enough, last night I was able to feel that her first molar finally poked through on the upper left side. Hopefully she is feeling better today.
I think DS is teething. He's not overly cranky or losing sleep, but he has rashes forming on both cheeks. We haven't changed anything in his diet or soaps/detergents so I'm guessing it's a teething rash. DD had it on both her cheeks from 6-8 months. She didn't seem bothered by it, and neither does DS.

Sorry for teething tots and their troubles. I have one over here, too. He was SO grumpy yesterday afternoon.
I also think he's getting a cold, which stinks. We were supposed to go meet our friend's new baby this weekend. She's less a month old, so I think we'd have to cancel if he has a cold. Boo.
I'm looking for a part time job, but it's infuriating how low the pay is in non-profit/education sectors. Especially for part time. Ugh.

On the bright side, the sun is out! Horray!
I used to work for nonprofits. My grad degree was also targeted to nonprofit work. My starting salary at my first job out of college: $17,500. I miss the work, but for things like paying for food and shelter, it really wasn't working out.

I did social work before I started teaching, so I hear ya! I didn't terribly mind a lower salary before kids because I loved what I did, but daycare costs change the ballgame a bit. It's just sad that it feels like you have to choose between helping others or paying your own bills. MURICA!!
Hey all. Kids are at daycare. I worked until a little after noon and then ran to get groceries. I'm either going to do some work on the computer at home now or sit and relax. I haven't decided. I'm a little pissy that my case load at work has gotten rather large, considering my part time status, and I'm constantly going in on my off days and also getting behind on paperwork that I'm bringing it home.
H has really pissed me off. He ok'd the basement bathroom vanity and counter top after we got the quote. He literally gave the go ahead, so I told them and the gal came yesterday to do final measurements, confirmed counter top color, and I signed off. We just need to mail in the down payment (H was not in town to meet with us yesterday). So last night I tell him about the visit with her and that we need to mail in the down payment. Now, after the fact, he's all pissy about the price again (that he approved) and wants to pull the plug. He keeps going back and forth and I'm in the middle, already told her to go ahead. So now I need to go back and tell her no, after she drove here 90 miles to do this. It's so embarrassing. I was so pissed last night.
Now he just text me and said to go ahead with the cabinet part and we'll go find our own countertop. Ok dude, good luck. When is he going to take the time out of his busy fishing life to drive a couple few hours to find a store with said counter top remnants for cheaper and get it done. He's not.
