1215 appointment for this guy. I was told that white spots does not equal strep, which I get. However, this kid always has large tonsils so when he complains, my mama radar goes berserk.
I'm sorry D1 is making life hard for you, still redandblue, that sucks. I'm glad you have Costa to look forward too! That is a place on my list of places I must visit!
tuscanlatte, don't beat yourself up. Your son is crafty, he knew where you were, and at least he dressed her. It's not like you forgot about them, you were checking on them. Shit happens.

@poppykisses, for the Brussels I halve them and toss them with olive oil, garlic, salt and crushed dried chiles and roast them in the oven until they're crispy.
When they are done, I toss them in a dressing that I make with 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar, juice from 1/2 lime, 1 teaspoon of agave/ maple syrup, 1 tablespoon chunky no-sugar pb, 1-2 chipotles in adobo sauce, minced, and hot water that I add to thin it until it's the consistency of a creamy dressing.
Then I garnish with some crushed peanuts and usually some chopped cilantro.
layloo08 and RandomName Rapid stress came back negative, but he did a 2nd swab for culture. I should get those results Tuesday or Wednesday. Supposed to push fluids and Motrin as needed for pain. He thinks I need to talk to the ENT about removing his tonsils. They are always 3+ and with his snoring and apnea spells, it needs looked into. We have a follow up in June, so I will see what they think.
We are thinking K just bit her tongue. Follow up on Thursday if the spot hasn't gotten any better.

Dinner last night was a success, although I ate way too much. Got a long run in this morning, and had some time this afternoon to work on some art projects while MH and P napped. Now headed to a good friend's goodbye party. I hate that all my best friends keep leaving NYC!
A friend of mine from high school was killed early this morning. She and her boyfriend were on their way to the airport for her flight to France. She was going to be spending 6 months there for a semester abroad. They were hit head-on by a drunk driver. I feel sick.
Not yet.. Waiting for the Pediatric Dentist to call me back tomorrow. I have very little hope though. Every one I've spoken too said it'll just be left alone. I can't accept that. I don't care how vain that makes me seem. I don't want her to have a chipped front tooth for the next 5 years. There isn't any discoloration thankfully and she doesn't seem to be in pain
tuscanlatte I missed your poof but I have an idea, maybe? Friday night we had a fire in our backyard fire pit. No monitor and I didn't check on them. We had our glass sliding door open so we'd hear any loud fussing.
