MH just left for work. I'll be taking the boys to my friend's house after lunch for a Kentucky Derby party. I rarely get to see,my friends so I'm pretty excited! And I bought a super cute bow tie for DS1 to wear!
starbuck27 we will all wait (im)patiently for your wedding AW
waitwhat I hear ya being old. I was a little excited that he venue for the wedding tonight needs us out by 10. The couple have an after party booked at another place, but we can easily slide home at 10 without feeling bad! Stay warm tonight. I'll be with you in cold spirit.
jubilantsquirrel when we got home, my MIL was holding him in the living room but he was sleeping on her. She said she couldn't get him to sleep in the crib and didn't want him to cry and wake up B. So after she left, I put him in the crib. After about 10 minutes he cried but he rolled onto his side and sucked his finger and fell asleep after about 5 minutes. He slept there until 6:30 this morning. I'm calling it a win!
I'd call that a win, too! Fx tonight goes well too!

Just enjoying the weekend with my sister and her fiancé. I feel kind of bad because there isn't much fun stuff to do with a baby and dreary weather, but I'm having a great time with them.
There's a slight possibility that her fiancé's state police assignment would land him within an hour of us next summer. I can't imagine how wonderful that would be.
There is a fair chance hat it won't be raining during this outdoor ceremony. But it will be windy AF. I might just put my hair in a pony tail now, save the hassle of pretending it still looks good or that it's salvageable after the ceremony.
starbuck27 Yay! I'm so glad to hear his fever broke. Can't wait to see your wedding post when you get a chance.
waitwhat DH and I get in bed as soon as both girls are asleep. So...by 9:30 at the latest. Sometimes 8:45 if we're lucky. Also, go J!! That's awesome. I wish one of my kids would actually sleep. Lol.
We spent our morning at the park and enjoying the Pioneer Days put on by one of the museums here. Lillian got to make a cornhusk doll, churn butter, dye wool, and see some farm animals. There was also a tour of a house from one of the first families to settle here and a historic firetruck museum. We had a really good time and Lillian is now passed out!
Tonight dh and I are going on our steakhouse date! I'm excited. My mom is watching the girls. I'm wondering if Lilah will eat as much at dinner as she did last night. Almost an entire pouch of peaches mixed with a couple tablespoons of oatmeal. Girl was hungry!
Her cough is still not sounding great, but she's still happy and no fever. Fx it's just the tail end of this cold and it'll be over soon.
And I've been trying to remember who has the same crib set as us with the dinosaurs. Is your kid obsessed with feeling the textures? C loves playing the corduroy and the circles.
Hi everyone! Busy day for us so checking in very late.
jubilantsquirrel, those cupcakes look amazing. I'm sure they taste great even after the toddler got to them. The outfits are adorable!
AFM, busy day. Ran some errands with the toddler this morning which was weird only having 1 kid to lug around. Then dropped the kids off at my parents so H and I could go to a fundraiser at a CycleBar. Haven't done spin in a very long time and man my ass is going to hurt tomorrow, not looking forward to this. Then we grabbed drinks and apps at a restaurant. Felt so nice to talk to adults with no kids to worry about. Best part was the ginger pineapple margarita, mmm so tasty! Hoping to be asleep by 9:30 tonight!
Glad J's fever broke starbuck27! Lol to W putting estrogen cream on himself, save that story for when he's 18!
Checking in quickly while putting D down to bed. After this I will be eating dinner finally and drinking my face off with our friends. We're having a blast on the Cape despite the shitastic weather. Oh and D had her first solid food today!! Good times. I've been titting but I hope to engage more tomorrow ❤️
hangry, missed those curls, us curliest gotta stick together! Good luck? @tgrime1980 I hope it goes well.
Not much going on with me, feeling overwhelmed but I got to the gym, took the trash to the transfer station but didn't get laundry done. Also still need to clean my house but my world is nap and feed and be engaged and nap and feed...
Oh cheshie6, you would laugh if you saw the picture. I do not have curly hair, I have very straight hair. I was excited that my hair was actually hold on what I gave it with the curling iron! I wouldn't know what to do with curly hair on a day to day basis!
Hiya. I am dragging this morning. We have turned a sleep corner with C, but due to lots of things I did not get enough sleep last night.
Is anyone else's kid obsessed with watching their hands? C sticks his hand out in front of him and watches it as he turns and moves it. It's the funniest thing.
I'm pumping right now because my baby has turned into a shitty nurser. I think she's just overstimulated with all the commotion in the house (with 8 adults, 4 two year olds, and 2 N'16 babies). Hoping she'll take some of this milk in a bottle after this. If she keeps popping on and off the bottle at least it won't hurt anyone. My nips are sore!
dashook I hope the bottle goes over a bit better. M was really bad with that for awhile. Everything was the most fascinating thing the world. It was frustrating.
