Hello ladies! Not much going on with me this week. I am 24w3d today. Had a growth u/s last Wednesday and baby girl looked good and is 1lb 7 oz, so doctor is happy with her growth. I feel like she is getting more active or maybe I just feel her more as she's getting bigger. MH and I are in vacation this week, which is so nice. I'm going to try to take the time to just relax because things are going to get crazy when I get back. Oh and my shower invitations went out last week and we already got a couple gifts delivered to the house which felt so surreal. We've got our jogging stroller (MH is psyched because he's an avid runner) and a high chair so far!
QOTW: We haven't really done anything yet. MH swears he will get the room painted when we get back home. I'm going to order the furniture then as well. I'm planning on doing light gray walls with white furniture and pink accents. I'm also doing a little bit of an elephant theme but not over the top, just a few little things.
I'm feeling large and tired. I'm having really bad rib pain in the back to the point I'm nearly in tears. Putting a pillow under my ribs has helped a little and I ordered a support belt. My uterus is putting pressure as it grows I guesd.
I had an OB apt and my placenta moved to 4.2cm from the cervix. No more placenta previa yay!
I failed my 1 hr glucose screen by 3 points and was so upset. I won't do the 3 hour so I will take my sugar 4x a day for awhile to test for GD.
Qotw: nope haven't done anything. H still needs to put up sheetrock lol
yoshijo28 almost 3rd trimester, unbelievable!! Sorry to hear you are so uncomfortable and tired. I hope the support belt will help - what kind did you get? Yay for your placenta playing nice and moving away from your cervix! Hopefully you won't end up dxed with GD!
cali yay for vacation time - hope you are having a blast and are able to relax a ton. Glad your US went well and baby is growing nicely How exciting to have your shower invites going out and gifts already arriving at your house! Cant wait to see some pics of things you choose foe the nursery - you will have to AW them on A17!
cali, thank you for the check-in! I hope you enjoy your vacation. The colors you are going to do for the nursery sound very pretty.
yoshijo28, yay for 3rd tri and no more placenta previa! Sorry for the rib pain
AFM, I'm 24+3 and just chilling on the couch. My insomnia seems to be coming back and between my multiple alarms and H's alarm, I can't seem to sleep more than 2 hours at a time without waking up for some reason.
I've been tracking my water consumption and trying to up my protein intake each day in the hopes that helps with baby B's fluid level/IUGR issues. Next scan is Tuesday.
QOTW: Our plan is to have both babies in our room for quite awhile so we have done nothing on the future nursery. We also have not decided what room to use for the nursery yet. The house is technically 3 bedrooms but one room is very small (7 foot wide with a closet on one end and a built in desk on the other end of the room) so it is not the most ideal room to use as a nursery. The other room is technically H's son's room. He is 19 and comes and visits us about 8 weeks a year. H needs to come to the conclusion that babies that are here 52 weeks a year should have their own room. He's getting there but we are not in a hurry to make any changes to how things are set up right now. Luckily, our bedroom is huge and can accommodate two cribs.
therealbug , I hear you on the insomnia. Between MH joining for the night (usually I've been in bed for at least a couple of hours by then), bathroom breaks (2-3 a night atm) and the cats who don't get it that me going to the bathroom doesn't mean they're getting kibble/attention/whatever.. I can't seem to sleep for longer then 1-2 hours max at a time. Not being able to fall back asleep right away makes it even worse and for very little sleep some nights I hope we will be able to get a bit more rest also at NIGHT soon, while we still can
AFM, not much going on this week. I'm 25 and some change and realized I have only 9 more weeks of work before my leave starts officially! I hope to be able to make that far, I'm already on partial sick leave at the moment since my heart still isn't coorporating with the pregnancy and it could go both ways I guess. My cardiologist is strongly advising to go back on medication for the remainder of the pregnancy. The MFM is okay with this but I do have some things I want to discuss before I start taking them. They are a cat C drug and I've read that being on them could cause low birth weigh, so I'd like to know whether they plan on extra monitoring. Also the baby will likely need to stay in the hospital 24-48h after birth for extra monitoring. I rather stay off of the meds but realize I may just not have a choice. It will also influence BF but I'm hoping I can wean off of the meds once I gave birth .. so maybe I can pump&dump while on them still then start proper BF??
Apart from the ticker stuff I'm doing pretty well. After having been so quiet earlier last week, baby has been rather active again these past days so I'm feeling less anxious about something not being right. Sometimes I do still get overwhelmed by anxiety and fears, but it's not as often as before. Physically I'm experiencing general pregnancy discomfort, but nothing too bad luckily. I seem to have struck a balance when it comes to what/how much to eat at a time and haven't had such bad reflux and indigestion as before. Sleeping is becoming more of an issue, especially with pregsomnia bah, but with a proper nap (or two.. usually a 20-30min one around lunch and a longer one after I come home from work) in the afternoon I usually make it through my day without to much issues.
QOTW: We haven't done any actual work just yet, but I have put on my thinking cap and have started to put together a to-do and wishlist. And I'm actually looking forward to working on the nursery, which is a big thing for me as until now I just felt too overwhelmed and anxious to enjoy even thinking about it. We have to do some major asshauling to empty our current storage room before we can turnit into a nursery. MH is going on a stretch of working long shifts though so I am afraid we won't actually be able to start on that until in 3 weeks from now
cali I haven't gotten gifts yet, but got a notice that something was purchased and it felt so crazy!! So great about no more previa yoshijo28! therealbug I hope the next scan is good! I'm with you on insomnia too. Last night I was finally so exhausted I slept from 11-5am without moving an inch, it was amazing. But I'm still exhausted today!
Good luck with your meds decision muscari it's so frustrating when it feels like there isn't complete information to make the decisions or the "experts" can't just say do this or do that, I feel like they always just hedge and say "whatever you feel comfortable with"! I'm glad the babe is moving more for you!
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!
I'm 23+1 today, I swear I doubled in size last night. I'm doing ok...exhausted the past two days just bc my mom is in town and we are trying to do all the things. But, we got car seats and ordered cribs and glider yesterday...so I feel like the necessities are covered. I don't go back to doc until next week so all is quiet here for now.
QOTW: MH and my mom are actually painting the nursery right now! We had a Herculean effort to get the room cleared out (and still need to figure out where to put all the displaced stuff...we finally broke down and got a storage unit. Just have to get some stuff out of here!) The room is going to be yellow...thought we picked a light enough color but it's kind of bright. However, I like it. It's cheery and bright and bucks the current trend of neutral nurseries a bit, which I like. We are going to do some Winnie the Pooh accents, nothing crazy, just a bit to make it look cohesive and a bit of a theme.

Hey all, I'm 24+4 today. DH felt the baby move for the first time yesterday which was so awesome. He also slept with his hand on my stomach last night which he never does. So sweet. I have my repeat a/s tomorrow along with another appointment. So two appointments tomorrow and I may see if we can sneak in a hospital tour while we are there.
I've been feeling pretty good. Only issues are horrible acid reflux (me and Tums are BFF's recently) and swollen feet at the end of a work day.
QOTW: Finished the nursery? HA! We haven't started. I've mostly cleaned out the closet and have all but one drawer of the dresser emptied. We talked about paint colors this morning. My parents sent the crib so it's in there...in a box. We need to decide what to do with the bed that's currently in the room since we don't need it and need to move out the vanity before we can paint. My goal is to be done by the end of June...that will give us 8 weeks before the baby is here. I'm done with work June 5th and my showers are May 25 and June 17 so my guess is I'll be finsihed with it mid-June....it's totally stressing me out.
cali, I'm glad everything looks good and you are feeling a lot of movement. I'm thinking we will do gray walls as well but with blue accents. My H is the same way...he keeps saying he'll do stuff in the nursery but he hasn't touched it yet.
I'm sorry you are having so much pain yoshijo28, and that you failed your 1 hour test.
Good luck on your scan Tuesday therealbug, That's really nice that your bedroom can fit two cribs! It must be huge!
Hope you figure out what to do with the meds muscari, but it sounds like everything else is going well.
EDD is 11/4, and we don't know the sex yet. I'm 14w1d today. My next ob appointment is Friday. My next u/s is my anatomy scan on June 5th. I'm finally starting to feel more comfortable with this pregnancy and we'll be going public within the next week or two. I'm still nervous about everyone knowing, but my bump is getting harder to hide. I'm just waiting until after Mother's Day to post on social media.
cali, yay for Vday, vacation, and shower invites! bethkate, welcome to 2nd tri! therealbug, thinking of you and the babies constantly king26, it's awsome when H can finally feel the kicks. Ours likes to kick like crazy and stop when he tries to feel lol wannabmama, I hope you were able to get some rest muscari, ((hugs)) that's a tough decision. FWIW I've been on a category C drug my entire pregnancy. I know it's a different drug but I can sympathize. Take doctor's advice and do what makes you comfortable. I don't see why you can't pump and dump until you're weaned off either
Hey peeps. I'm 16 weeks 6 days. A/s is on the 25th. Not much is new here!
QOTW: We found a crib we like. And have been thinking about which spare room to use. We have 2. One is set up as the office/storage and the other is a guest room. Other than that, I haven't really thought about colors or themes. I want something simple for sure.
bethkate, welcome! I might announce on social media after mothers day too. cali, hope you're having a nice vacation! We need one. wannabmama, a Winnie the Pooh theme sounds sweet! muscari, I hope the decision to take or not to take the medication doesn't cause too much stress. Naps are my favorite thing these days. Unfortunately I only nap on the weekend. king26, I can't wait to feel movement! I use the Doppler every couple of days just for some type of reassurance. yoshijo28, I hope the pain lets up soon! therealbug, good luck with your scan!
@ketchup, I mean, it's not like this LO will know the difference. I think it's pretty typical with second kids. I know my brother inherited my nursery when he was born (it was gender neutral) and I got a big girl room. He wasn't traumatized or anything and I think it actually helped me in transitioning from being an only child to a big sister because it was something special for me when everything else was about the new baby.

muscari, sorry to hear about the heart issues. I want to say snd1231 has heart issues as well. Might be worth a PM to her to see if she was taking any drugs during pregnancy or BF/pumping.
@yoshijo, congrats on 3rd tri! Sorry to hear about the rib pain. Hope it gets better!
AFM, I'm 24+1. My csection is scheduled for 8/23 and it's really weird to know exactly when I'm having this baby (unless baby decides to be impatient and come early). My next OB appointment is 5/22. I'll be doing the 1 hr glucose test again (yay, AMA) and just the routine monthly check up. I have a growth scan at the beginning of June and then start twice weekly appointments (BPP/NST) starting the beginning of July (again, yay AMA).
QOTW: like @ketchup, this baby will be getting the current nursery and we'll be moving C to a new room. I'll probably update the pictures but that's about all we'll do. We were team green the first time around so everything is neutral and will work for a boy or a girl.
Me: 34 | DH: 33 Married: 2010 | TTC since Jan 2012 Met RE: March 2014 | Official DX: unexplained 04/2014-12/2014: 5 IUIs, all BFN IVF #1 March 2015 25R/20M/17F: Freeze-all, 12 frosties! FET #1 - May 2015: BFP! Beta #1 361, Beta #2 726 Baby boy, C, born 1/19/2016
Just got back from repeat a/s and everything looked good. They got the spine pictures and did the 4D ultrasound of his face..adorable! They still couldn't get the heart but I told them I had the fetal echo so they said it was fine. Baby weighs about 1 lb 12 oz. And I'm measuring a week ahead

Wait. Holy Fuck.
.. are you who I think you are? Troll Assassin circa 3T on TB 2014?
If not, please excuse my outburst. If so, please excuse the lack of virtual tackle hugging that I would have done earlier had I not been oblivious AF.
Ha! Maybe? I joined TB in 2012 and probably ventured over to 3T in 2014...
Baby B's fluid looked better than last week. The tech measured two different pockets on B and one came in just over 2 which puts it in the normal range. Blood flow on both babies looked good. Per the MFM, if next week's scan is as good as this one then we can delay hospital admission and possible go to twice a week appointments instead. Next week we check blood flow, fluid level, and growth.
I had an OB appointment right after where I had a cervix check. Per the OB, cervix felt better than it did two weeks ago. She was a bit annoyed that the tech did not check the actual AFI (amniotic fluid index) and instead only did the deepest vertical pocket. Instructions are to continue with home bedrest as that seems to be working.
wannabmama, we've made up our minds though (meds it is boo) but are still waiting on the appointments with the cardio and MFM as I couldn't get in for an earlier appointment then early néxt week (22 and 23/5) with either of them. I've done a lot of reading and research so have my questions list ready hah. And oh my you are so organized already! The only things we have on hand by now are new born clothing we've been gifted (and some I bought myself), one pack of pampers and a bottle that was part of a baby box and uhm.. well we know what kind of crib and what not we're going to get but still have to go out and buy um?! Yeah we really need to start getting things done soon! Your nursery sounds so cute - you'll have to app me some pics some time!
king26, so awesome that YH was able to feel the baby kick! I hear you on being best friends with tums.. that's what's gotten me through the last past couple of weeks as well LOL. I hope your repeat A/S went well! Yay for a great repeat A/S and that you got to see babies face in 4D! Did they change your due date since you're a week ahead or?
Welcome to 2nd trim bethkate! Announcing publicly caused me a lot of anxiety and in the end I waited until 25 weeks *coughs* i'm glad we're "out" now and the responses have been so lovely.
yoshijo28, yeah, I will take the drs advice and meds it is.. it just makes me feel anxious. But at the same time I'm almost eager to start them cause I hope it'll make a big difference in how I feel and how I function the remainder of the pregnancy, know what I mean? I had hoped to be able to move up my appointment with both the cardio and MFM but that wasn't possible unfortunately so we won't see them until the 22nd/23rd. I have done a lot of reading and research so have my questions list ready, but I know that regardless I'll just have to start them.
@ketchup, so glad that the injection in your SI joint is helping you with the pain some! Don't feel bad about reusing things.. if we would be able to have another baby after this one we would definitely do the same! It's not like the baby will know the difference:)
mrsrodgersaz, thanks for the mention of snd1231 - I may look her up! I thought about posting over at pregnancy or parenting for info but I don't post there normally so it felt weird hah. I'm AMA too but have yet to hear about any glucose testing LOL. I do think we're going to biweekly appointments after my next one. Or are you getting two a week? That sounds intense!
therealbug, Your positive update earlier this week made me so happy!
