Lollipop I am so sorry. That sucks!! Is there a reason he couldn't get it? Was he been working too much to have time? I agree with kelltothekell that if you can explain it and get it to them in the next day or two I bet it would be fine. Can your h give you then login info you need to get the other stuff? I'm sorry to all the sickies. We are healthy here which is good, but dh has been picking fights with me and it's pissing me off (probably the point). I am not in the mood to fight with him about politics and human rights, but I'm disappointed by his view points at the moment. He seemed legit surprised at the amount of compassion I have for some of these things. Hello, we've been together 16years. This cannot be news to you. 😳

One of my best friends just text that she is "SO tired" because she has been on a mini road trip the past week, and entertaining guests. This same friend has no children and doesn't work! It's sooooooo hard to not reply with an obvious eye roll.
dizzycooks I actually created the account for him, but somehow forgot an answer to a security question (his oldest cousin's first name, she's my favorite of his cousins) and got locked out of the account online, and he needs to call them and give me permission to talk to them. Plus there's stuff from my own account that I can't access until I get a code in the mail.
We had 2 weeks to get this done, but dropped the ball. It's partly my fault, I was distracted with applying for jobs, but it shouldn't have all been on me in the first place.

NellieOleson that is absolutely awful. I am so sorry. I am sure as her sister you feel so protective but unable to do much. Hang in there.
Things are crazy on my end still. Work just keeps getting more and more intense. I really need to get KU again...
Mother's Day: we normally do one day/evening with one mum and then the next day/evening with the other. Last Mother's Day my mum and I did a joint celebration.

NellieOleson that sucks about your sil. I cannot imagine. Honestly when do people find bad time? Dh and I joke about it. When would we have time?? Ugh. Some people suck. @crimsonadnclover how are the step goals going lately? I have been hitting much higher numbers lately and my ankles HURT. And my calves and my knees. And I'm exhausted. Clearly I need to build up some endurance.
So we have a measles outbreak around here. Our pedi said they are only recommending an accelerated vaccination be schedule for those living in the count effected. We live in the adjacent county. Dd3 had her vaccine (the first one) about 6 weeks ago. I kinda want to get the second one, but don't want to risk it if it's not imperative. She had a bad reaction to the first dose. Wwyd?

I had to pick him up again yesterday because of a fever. He had one in the morning, but they let him stay and checked it again after nap and it was higher so I had to pick him up. I don't think it's teething related. His pediatrician thinks it might be related to allergies so we are trying Zyrtec. His nose has been running way more than usual.
Oh and I booked his first haircut appointment, two weeks from Saturday. I'm really hoping it goes well. Anyone have any tips on something to take to distract him or what's worked for you in the past? I'm so nervous she'll get halfway done and suddenly he'll freak out and then end up with half short and half long hair.

I also took an ice cold shower this morning. Our water heater has been acting funny and last night the water wouldn't get hot. For reasons unknown to me we had a spare in the garage so he installed it. This morning when I get up he tells me it's working. It did. Just enough for his shower apparently because mine was lukewarm for 30 seconds or so until it was just freezing.

I would also follow your pedi's recommendation dizzycooks. I was in the same situation last spring when DD was just a few months old. We had an outbreak in an adjacent county and ours. I did limit our activity out in public places but she was unable to get any vaccine at all due to her age at the time. I kept an eye on the county reporting page. After so many days (7-10? Or is it longer?)of the most recent case you are in the clear.

And seriously that just makes me mad at those that won't vaccinate. It's so unnecessary to put people who can't get vaccines for whatever reason through the stress of an outbreak. 😡
We cut DD2s rat tail off yesterday. It was probably about 20 strands of hair that were about 2 inches longer than everything else. But I was clinging to it because it was all that was left of her newborn hair. So of course I sobbed.

silverspoon - are you going to a kid's haircut place? If so, it should be fine. If not? The ultimate distraction tool is the phone, of course. I recommend putting on a Sago Mini game. Music Box, Ocean Swimmer, and Forest Flyer are all good for this age. Dd2 also loves to look through my photos at pictures of herself and dd1. She rarely gets my phone, but it's a nice emergency distraction tool if necessary!
And the same thing happened with my shower yesterday! It was the fastest and least satisfying shower ever. I'm going first today.
kelltothekell I'm with you on the haircut front. If I go by my sister and I, her hair should start growing faster in the next couple of months. By the time we were 2, we had chin length ringlets. She still wouldn't need a haircut for a few years though.

dizzycooks, my fitbit can't hold a charge for more than a few hours, so I can't say much about my step goals. Well, I know I haven't been hitting them much because the girls have been alternating who's sick and then I can't get in my walking. Plus I'm back to work now and those days I just sit at my desk in the office (Wed and Fri). In other words - not looking so great, but things should improve some once everyone is finally healthy again.
Today DD3 got the 2nd round of MMR and DD1 had a booster plus a blood draw (to check for anemia and other things). It was traumatic for all involved. DD1's summary for DD2 was: "DD2, when you get a blood draw then you'll scream and cry a lot, but when you get the shot (for the vaccination) you'll just go AAHH! and then it's over." And when I explained that DD2 probably wouldn't need to have blood drawn when she was 6, DD1 got all angry about the injustice of the world.
Happy Friday everyone! What are you doing this weekend? crimsonandclover I know you have a super fun picnic to attend... I woke up this morning to my big girls snuggled in bed with me. The oldest came in around 4am and the other around 7. They never sleep past 630 so it was a treat.

My ils called. Last night they said they are not visiting this weekend. This morning they called again and said they'll be here tomorrow morning. Wth? I swear we talked about this LAST NIGHT. So confusing.

dizzycooks, gotta be honest. I'm not 100% sure DD3 got the 2nd MMR. She actually got 2 shots, I was assuming MMR and chicken pox, but I don't know. I'd have to look in her vaccination booklet, but that's in the other room. And I'm on the couch after a very long day. 'Nuff said
We booked a camping trip for 2 weeks from now. We're going to a "resort" about 2 hours away, that's geared towards kids. Apparently H went a few times when he was a kid, but somehow I'd never heard of it until last summer. We have to get a bunch of stuff next weekend, including somewhere for M to sleep while camping, and a new tent. I have lists.

FFFC: Before I went abroad the first time, I actually made a list of lists I needed to make (things to pack, things to pack before I left, things to do before I left, people to see again before I left, etc.). And just before coming on here, I went through my to-do list for today and tomorrow, updated my list of goals for the year, and checked off a book on my list of books to read. I might be a *tad* obsessed with lists. Just a tad.

I'm thinking about coming in to work tomorrow morning. Mostly because I just don't want to be home with my family.
I'm legit behind on some things at work so it's not totally a made up excuse. I've had to leave twice in the last week to pick him up due to a fever. Lately I cannot get this kid to take medicine, no matter what flavor it is. He holds it in his mouth as long as possible until he can spit it out. It's frustrating.
