Hi Ladies-
So in the last few weeks DD has been getting up about 2 hours earlier than normal. I went to her 3 year check up and mentioned how her sleep has significantly changed and that we are looking for feedback. They blamed the fact that I'm 38 weeks pregnant and C is sensing some change coming.
I took that information and applied it with her attitude lately and figured it must be the reason.
Well another weird thing is that I ( and I think I've mentioned this before) will wake up to her just standing at the end of my bed or right outside my bedroom door. She won't come wake me but will whimper or just stand there until I invite her to bed with me. This is when the earlier than usual wake ups occurred too.
Fast forward to this morning, H mentions when he woke up for work (which is super early), that C was asleep in the hallway in front of the hall bath. She woke up at some point between 2am and 5am and either sleep walked or walked to hallway and just went back to sleep.
I don't know what is going on. I want to help her get her sleep back because she's been quite difficult and angry lately with being overtired almost all day. I also don't understand why she isn't waking me up or crying out. She isn't playing with her toys in the middle of the night or getting into anything. I know this because I clean her playroom every night and I'm particular with where things are.
I'm such a light sleeper normally, as in wake up when I hear her cough or even the light whimper she sometimes makes. I don't know why I'm not hearing her.
I'm going to try to put the baby monitor back in her room and see if I can catch her waking up and climbing out of bed. Any other ideas, input, or personal stories?
For extra security measures we installed a tall slider lock on all exits of the house when we moved her to a twin bed. I didn't want her to be able to get out of house, so that isn't my worry.
Thanks, you ladies are always so insightful with this stuff.
