So this has been weeks at this point. I get contractions, not BH, they hurt and are timetable. The worst time is around 2 am. I read about it being at certain times, and for me that is true. The contractions are getting progressively stronger, from period like pain, to last night sweaty take your breath away this is it, but I guess not pain. If you had/have prodromal labor this time or before, did it get more intense? Do you feel the like increase in intensity coincided with when you eventually delivered, or did it just go on hurting more. I had it with my last but not this bad, or to this degree, maybe it is a 5th child thing.
This was the first pregnancy I had them....only for about a week 38-39 weeks....which kept messing with my mind!
It was new for me and I never went into labor on my own with our first two, so I didn't realize I was in early labor all day the day that DD3 was born :-)
I wonder if they are more intense like the after birth cramping with subsequent pregnancies...due to the ute needing to work harder?!?!?
The day DD3 was born I had the same I had been having all week...timetable but not too uncomfortable...but as the day went on they increased in discomfort to the point I couldn't go about doing things without stopping ....closer together and longer
With DD I didn't feel one single BH or labor pain until I woke up on a Friday morning with pretty severe period like cramping which as the day progressed just kept getting worse. From first pain to delivery was about 42 hours.
This time, I've had on and off period like cramping for a few days. I keep wondering if it's going to progress but it never does and by mid day I've been normal. It really messes with my head.
I didn't have any with DS1, but I had them for 4 weeks this time. There were days they were intense, timeable down to 3 minutes apart, and then they'd be mostly gone the next. There were other days they weren't as timeable but they got more painful. The last bought of strong timetable ones was around 38 weeks. I was ultimately induced, which actually turned into an augmented labor, at 39w1d so...
I had it again this time with the twins. It lasted for weeks. The last day it started to get slightly more intense before my water broke and i went to the hospital for a c-section do to breech baby. But I did find that they had gotten more intense.
I've had them for weeks too. I had them with DD but not for as long and not as timetable. I'm super over it. I had the worst contractions last night and thought it was time... then then they stopped.
I'm having it right now, and it was especially rough today. Mine also seem to be the worst around 2am. The doctor seemed to think it was a positive sign. I don't know if it is or not, but I'm choosing to believe her for my own sanity. It's definitely been getting more intense over the last week or so.
