katie0919 that's all good info, thank you! I talked to my sister and she's totally fine coming sometime that day. I don't think I will mind her being there while I'm still recovering, she has been super supportive and considerate, I mostly wanted to have the last day/night to ourselves.
These May 17 babies are cute!! Congratulations tortor4 and elmo1414!!
I have time to read all of these, but not do too much personal commenting, I feel bad. I'm currently pumping, eating what was supposed to be my lunch and catching a few quiet minutes before our next feed. Dogs, babies, and husband are all snoozing. We had a pediatrician appointment today, and both have put weight on since the hospital!
PirateCat, my c-section was scheduled for 7:30 am. The first baby arrived at 7:53. I looked at my texts for a timeline, and I sent one of the first texts at 9:50. I had a complication in recovery (catheter issue), so I was there a bit longer. I was in my room between 1 and 2.
PirateCat with both my c-sections, I was on all liquids until 6am the next morning and they will ask you if you've passed gas before they move you to solid food. I just lied and said yes cuz I was starving lol
Also agree with others that your sister should be fine driving up the morning of
river, and mcp6286, when do they take the catheter out?
Mine came out at the 6am vitals check the next morning. They have to leave it in until you give a certain amount of urine output. They'll measure it each time they empty the bag. It sounds gross and awful and uncomfortable but it really isn't that bad (and hey, you don't have to worry about getting up to pee! lol). It's a tiny bit of pressure/pinching when they take it out cuz you're obv nor under anesthesia anymore but it's over really fast. Don't stress it! I was massively worried about it before my first and didn't need to be.

I agree 100%! Mine came out the next morning and it wasn't bad at all.
