How much do I have to dress up for our niece's baptism? Cotton sundress ok? It's in a Catholic church on Sunday afternoon. H is godfather so he's wearing a suit. I have no part in the ceremony, but there will probably be pics of me with H so I feel like I should dress up. I have several maternity dresses, but they're all pretty casual.
I'd say a cotton sundress is appropriate. And you're very pregnant so you get a pass anyway. I've noticed in recent years when I go to my old church at home (catholic) that dress code has become increasingly casual, I think you'll be fine.
Ok I've been using both recently. The spectra at work and the Pisa at home. I like the medela flanges and that there are less parts on the medela. I have had an issue recently where milk and condensation were getting in the tubing, so that was annoying. Now I just take the tubing off for a few mins while the pump is still running and haven't noticed it anymore.
I'm annoyed by all the parts on the spectra. Extra things to remember and more parts to clean. I do like the light and timer on the spectra though. And it is definitely quieter than the Pisa. The flanges for the spectra started bothering me lately, like out of nowhere. I use a 27 mm on the medela and the spectra say 28, maybe that's the issue?? Idk, I just started using the medela flanges with an adapter on the spectra and prefer that setup. Oh, and sometimes the tubing on the spectra was coming off while pumping. Like there was too much pressure and it just blew off. It's only happened a hand full of times, not sure why.
I haven't done an apples to apples (as best I can day to day) comparison on output but I would say they are probably similar ime.
Sorry this is probably going to look like a huge run on paragraph. Hopes it helpful.
I'm not sure why, but the lines blowing off made me laugh.

The biggest thing I've heard is that the spectra lasts longer than the PISA. I just took my PISA to be cleaned before packing it away (a year later) and she tested the suction for me and said it's already starting to not function properly. I used it so rarely too, so that's annoying.

Interesting. I wonder why that is??
I've just heard from so many people that the quality plummeted when they started manufacturing insurance pumps.
I opted for the spectra s2 this time, and got the adapter so I can use my Medela parts and bottles.
My insurance at first told me a pump isn't covered because it's some BS grandfather plan or something. But then I talked to someone else there and they said I was covered and gave me 3 DMEs to choose from. I was able to order it in advance, but they wouldn't process it to ship until 1 month before EDD. Fortunately it shipped within a couple days, so I already have it ready to go.
I love my Pisa. No problems. Hated my ameda . No lack of suction. I use my sisters Pisa that she's had for a couple of kids- high use- and it's still kicking too. I need my pump for a year and it's warranted for a year so I'll take my chances. I love have lots of parts and extras and not having to wash separate bottles. I pump into the bottle and add a nipple and that's all that gets cleaned besides my pump flanges.
