Actually I'm kind of meh on anything my child eats. I'm just happy when he eats. I know he gets a good variety of healthy foods so sugar in yogurt is barely on my radar.
I was putting the baby to bed last night. H wasn't home. I nursed the baby and put him in bed. I came out to the living room and DS1 had gotten into the pantry, somehow got the fruit loops off the shelf, ran back to the living room, and was shoving as many of them as he could into his mouth before I could reach him and take the box. He knows that fruit loops are a treat and he can only have them for pottying or good behavior. It was also 7pm at night.

I don't like yogurt. I think all varieties/flavors are gross. I do feed it to the kids though because they like it. Not very often, because the dairy free stuff is $$$$.
Yogurt is gross. I have never served it to my kids so I have no clue if they like it or how much sugar is in it. But if it's with real fruit wouldn't there be some natural sugars from the fruit? Natural sugars are ok, but if they are adding additional that can be an issue for some. Obviously not me because....
It was just me and Eliza last night. SD was at a track meet, and H took DD1 golfing. So I was lazy for dinner and let her snack beforehand knowing she then wouldn't eat her dinner. She had a package of mini chocolate chip muffins and a M&M cookie from the gas station. She did eat her cheese and a couple bites of eggs, when I finally did make something small for her.

One day last week when the girls had a really late lunch, I just let them snack on Cheerios from dinner time to bed time. I was too tired to make them anything.
Basically what everyone else has confesssed, we don't pay much attention to the sugar content of yogurt. I used to give Dd plain, until she went to daycare and they gave vanilla or strawberry. Eventually she wanted to share "daddy's yogurt" which is Greek with things to mix in, like chocolate. I don't eat much yogurt so there is no more sharing. She either eats "daddy yogurt" or plain Greek with honey, granola, and chocolate chips. If she eats mil's Trader Joe's yogurt, that gets sprinkles on top.
We're very much in an if they eat it they can have it stage with both kids. My 9 month old ate a very large piece of pizza at our friends' house - carb it up, slim.

+1 Yogurt is actually one of the healthier things DS eats and loves. He has at least one a day.

DS had 3 bowls of Honey nut Cheerios for dinner last night.
As someone who is trying to deal with a horrible sugar addiction and weight issues, I am super aware of what I give DD. I certainly don't keep her away from all sweets/treats (she just had a few gummy bears yesterday) but I don't want to waste her sugar on regular foods for lack of a better phrase. If I didn't have such a problem with it myself, I don't think I'd be quite as crazy about the kind of food we buy.
Some of the sugar in yogurt is lactose. Right now we have plain, no sugar added yogurt and it's 11g of sugar for 1 cup. The plain Greek we have is 5g of sugar.

+1 I had so many issues with food growing up, still do, so I try really hard to get DD off on the right foot.
I do pay attention to sugar content because DS is hyper enough and too much sugar really sends him spinning, then he has a massive crash that results in all kids of tantrums. He happily eats oatmeal and wheatabix without anything added and plain greek yoghurt.
We'll just blame Dh for his yogurt preferences becoming dd's. And oatmeal? That gets peanut butter (for both kids, ds needs the fat and calories), coconut, and nuts. And apparently mil gave her sprinkles on apple sauce, so that's a thing. I can only do so much.
I'm all about the feed my kid what she's willing to eat. Some days that's goldfish crackers for breakfast.
I am so not fighting with our insanely picky eater. I buy full fat, plain Greek yogurt for us. Even sweetened with honey and fruit mixed in she won't eat it. So straight up marketed to kids drinkable yogurt it is.
I'm hopeful if I can model healthy choices as she gets older she'll follow Mom and Dad's lead...
