As far as the state of the forum, I think things got extra on both sides. Poor response from the admins and near search for blood from some of the posters. I'm not willing to jump ship yet, but I do have an account over there, armpants because I find myself hilarious, jic.

This sums up how I feel about. Admittedly, I didn't read the whole thing- like 10 pages in the beginning and like last 10.
I have an account on SM (so I could claim my SN) but I'm not sure how I feel about leaving completely. I'm worried a few posters over here would get lost in the transition.
I joined TCF after the mass exodus from TD. I had made a few connections. I've stayed because I consider this the hang-out spot for my "imaginary friends." I'm not tied to any one spot- just the people. Part of the reason, I've stayed with the site in general is there is a larger audience/poster/people to pull from should I want to venture off this board or need to tap into those with a larger experience and further develop (hopefully) more connections/friendships. If TCF isn't able to pull more people than are leaving, then I'm concerned for the site in general and recently (before the thread) I had wondered about the longevity of this site.
BTW ampaints, I love the SN. In my head, that's how I say your SN anyway.
I hope everyone has fun at the GTG. I wish I was there. I want to see lots of pictures!
skinandbones that pretty much is how I feel about the whole situation. I haven't made an account over there though.
I guess I don't understand how the forums work in the back end, why the worry about the amount of traffic. I also don't really understand what the big questions were that people got so upset that they weren't getting the answers they wanted. And I keep thinking, like aren't all the people who take care of and run the forum do so for free? Like is it a paid gig? I thought Naria and the others created this as an alternative when people got upset on TD. I'm just confused and don't like the overly dramatic results...on a free mommies forum.
I will wait to see where things land. In reality if everyone from our BMB (or most) move to the other site, this one will die. Not like other boards where people will come and go.

I have a new plan for this bedtime situation. I usually let e wake up on his own. He usually wakes up between 8-9. I am going to start getting him up at 7 no matter what. I am going to try to have him nap no latter than 2-230. Then in bed between 7-7:30. My hope is that he'll be asleep by the time S1 goes to bed.
This will be helpful anyway so that we can get out of the house early this summer.

tuscanlatte, I'm old, what's a hip selfie?? Also great news about the interview and even better about the number of people being hired! When should he hear?

it is! The dark one! I got a handle on putting it on now haha. learning so much these days Light application and some blistex really helped things along there
Anywho, I got this MAC strobe cream in my last birchbox and it's pretty neat. It's supposed to highlight and brighten your skin. I read that it doesn't really show up under heavy foundation so I waited for a (mostly) makeup free day and tried it out. It's not tinted or anything, but I definitely felt like my skin tone looked more even and not as dull.
I keep meaning to reply to this but so much is going on and I'm losing my damn mind haha.
This is one of the things I bought years ago after a Mac makeover and I love. It makes you look dewy and glowing! This morning my sister was like what are you wearing?!? And it's just that. Love it.
I found this pic to show her, I think it shows the effect nicely.
