It is so frustrating - part of the reason I wanted to be team green was because I don't want all the gender specific clothing. However, MH really wanted to know. I was so excited when my little brother found out it was a girl and said 'I am going to teach her to play baseball!' Most of the clothes I registered for are gender neutral. All the big items we registered for are blue/green/grey. I just prefer those colors personally.

Same here. All our bigger items are in aqua/green/etc as well. We didn't share the gender until earlier this week- but it was annoying that people assumed we were having boys because our car seats and stroller are an aqua blue. I just love aqua/turquoise colors.
jessimi06 - me too. My wedding was grey and teal and this baby is getting similar color schemes. We got a grey car seat that has a lime green trim - my good friend has a baby just turned a year and offered us the seat and 2 bases. I normally wouldn't get a used car seat but I know how anal his wife is and that it was never in any accidents. When he brought it in to work to give me, someone made a comment about how it wasn't pink and we are having a girl. Seriously??
amshark I guess that's kinda cool...I think they should have called out the designers that were making the stereotypical clothes but I guess that's not their style.

Resurrecting this thread bc i registered today...it annoys me that anything nautical (whales, anchors, sails) are classified as boys. I'm female and I love boating!

I am with you - we are doing a beach feel to the room because it is our favorite place - and all sea/beach related was more geared towards boys. I did find a cute romper with anchors on it for her...and we registered for some 'boy stuff'
