So far I have- Blueberry picking Water park (small and local) Splash pad at the park down the street Bowling Taste of Chicago Jump zone (trampoline place)- we did this yesterday and she had a blast! Beach trip
Toddler Museum Zoo Community Center Water Park - Toddler Time (across the street from our house, it's awesome) Camping (found this place called Yogi Bear's Jellystone and they have Characters, a cool pool, and lots of kids' activities) Beach Winery Kids' Movie Nights Library events (part of their summer reading program)

I'm so excited for nice weather outings! Our list includes: - Splash pad - Picnic at the zoo - Exploring/picnicking at various local playgrounds - Petting farm - Cottage rental on Lake Huron in August - Various beaches - Lots of time in my parents' pool, neighborhood pool, and on the swing set to be delivered in a few weeks!
DS just started walking last July, so I feel like this will be our first real summer with a kid more capable of enjoying some of these things!

BH is still not ready for movies/theater, so probably next summer.
*Movies in the park/theater in the park with LBB. *Summer concerts at the children's museum/botanical garden *swim lessons *watermelon picking *Strawberry festival *County fair
I'm excited for this summer. E is at a great age to start doing some fun things and L is still small enough to just bring her along wherever! So far I have- Water park in WI Dells Strawberry picking (might have to add blueberry picking thanks to mrsmonogrammed) Water ski show (our town has a water skiing club that puts on a show every Wednesday night during the summer) Zoo State Fair
Not kid related but H and I want to go skydiving for his birthday in July. We both turn 30 this year and wanted to do something fun!
*Parks parks parks. We've already explored several new ones and I want to keep going. Our city alone has over 150. DS2 is finally at that age when I don't have to follow behind his every move. *Zoo *Ice Cream Social *Up North trip in July *Spending time at our cottage/lake *Swimming in my parent's pool *Summer Festival
We've never done berry picking before, I should add that to my list!
jillywilly , did you make it out to the children's museum yet?
No! I still want to though. My problem is that W naps right in the middle of the day - normally from about 12/1 until about 2/3, and we also go to gymnastics on Saturday mornings. So by the time we would get to AA after he wakes from his nap (we're about 20-30 minutes away), it normally feels like it'd be a bit of a rush before the museum closes at 5. H and I were just talking about how it's going to be such a double-edged sword when he finally gives up napping - I love the quiet time, but it will also be nice not to have to plan our weekends around being home in the middle of the day to get him to nap or to risk having a monster toddler that didn't nap by about 4/5. He is not a child that sleeps well in the car/on the go unfortunately anymore
jillywilly , Ah, that makes sense. Yes, naps are a blessing and a curse! Both my kids are very high energy which is great because we don't need to worry about making sure DS2 gets a nap, but also they never slow down which can be very exhausting for me!
-kids first mountain trip -kids first time to the big national park in our province
The rest- -L's first swimming lessons (our pool is seasonal and only open in the summer) -day trips to the lake -fun park in the city -finding a new ice cream place since ours in town will be closed this year 😫
Unfortunately for C most of my summer will be spent recovering. (C-section/tubal litigation and then roughly 6-8 weeks after baby is born hernia surgery. I can't wait too long because I won't be able to pick her up if she weighs too much.) But some things planned include: A Day Out With Thomas Camping (we have a camp ground 3 miles from the house, so if it doesn't work out for me and baby we can head home to a real bed) Lots of time on our playground/outside I'd like to find a few splash pads close to us. Blueberry picking Zoo I'm hoping we can get a family weekend away but that will depend on DHs work schedule.
-Lots of pool time--maybe swim lessons if our pool offers them this year -berry picking -playdates -splash park? -beach at the end of the summer -possibly a girls/grandkids trip with my MIL and SIL(!!)
