I vote not FB. It is blocked at work and so much harder to follow (in my opinion). Also, some of the TCF people already broke SM. It's 'down for maintenance.'

I was reading along when they shut it down. Basically a few people from TCF we're calling them out on their policies regarding racism (they preferred to send a PM or just flag it so the mods could handle it vs. calling out the poster where everyone could read it). It got pretty heated and within minutes the site was down.

random hello! Someone from my other BMB tagged me so I checked out what was going on, semi. With PB blocked at work and Z never freaking sleeping it's really hard for me to check in here, but I'm much better with FB. If you guys move to fb and wouldn't mind me joining, I'd be all for it!

Yep I'll check! My guess is if it has the 'freeforums' in it it's blocked, I think TCF want because it didn't have that included.

But no big deal if it is, it's almost summer. 😀

The admin is not shutting this site down so my vote is stay here. Wait a week or two and decide. They'll still be there.

I vote to stay here. I personally don't subscribe to the drama, nor am I interested in the business/politics of the site expanding etc.

Although I am also down for fb. I've done that for my previous boards and it's easier for me to check fb from my phone.

If we're taking a vote, I vote FB. I much prefer that - maybe doing a private group - it's so much easier for me to keep tabs on 1-2 apps then all of them. Hence why I sucks so much at checking in.

Just an fyi from a mod standpoint:
Naria has stated she's not taking down this site. This place will be here unless it gets shut down by PB. Hopefully no one is hateful enough to post porn and ruin this site for the people that want to stay.
This site is nice because we have the private board and the public and can post easily. My M14 board is staying and my local board is staying, so this is where I'll be, personally.
Also- I read the shit about ketchup on the public board and re read the mod board and I can try to summarize it. I'll be back with that.

Summary - parenting started complaining about not having enough new posters on this forum and asking when the website would be ready since it's been 2 years.
The admins put up their business plan with a list of items they still need to do and a link to the website. Many posters were unhappy with how the website looked/ the business plan/ the thought that the admins needed to hire out work and Make this happen quicker/ how are they going to draw in new stuff/ asking them to use fb and twitter - but all in a snarky and many times rude way. The admins were silent because you can't please everyone - Naria was sick, and Theo and bibs were fed up with working for free and being bitched at for not doing more. Bibs posted something to that effect and was shit on by many for it. Then the admins were silent and then mostly parenting posters went 100 or so pages demanding answers, referring to narias fb being active at times, and even fighting about whether or not she was using her baby to get out of this, etc...
Then the admins came on and said we'll do better.
It was not accepted well and people with pitchforks then wanted to talk about whether to stay here or go somewhere else.
They decided to go to scary mommy since it had a website and would be new posters. Only Scary Mommy didn't want them there and shut down the whole forum on day 1 of parenting showing up (👍🏻) .
Then several other people made their own sites and invited people to them- sterling and mcbenny I believe each have sites.
People are split, not knowing where to go or who to post with. Chaos ensues.
In the meantime, ketchup (a previously demodded person) comes in and is like- I told you so- and showed some posts of Naria and ketchup. Apparently ketchup was demodded for behavior. (To be continued)

becole, I agree the insults got too personal and catty. Silence made people nervous and they spiraled and lost sight of the issues at hand.

Guise. This is the first thread I opened in days. I skimmed, panicking, hoping y'all didn't leave me already. (Thanks for the tag @holachica!) I'll go back and reread becole's post, but someone just tell me what we're doing. I'm off today, so can check in frequently.

ETA: I don't access the boards from working unless it's on my phone, and I rarely have time for that there. (Hence being MIA last couple months) FB and IG are fine by me. Another forum is ok too, but I'll prob be as frequent there as I am here now. BUT DONT LEAVE ME.

I'm kind of feeling the same way as @holachica and @kitchen. I just tested the BMB link that was posted here, and I can get on it. I haven't tried the other groups yet. I'll go with the majority; like I said over the weekend, staying in contact is more important to me than where the contact occurs.
