My back is toast after working for two days. It's cool though since I only have like 4 months left of work...
My mom gave me a hideous gift of jewelry for my graduation. I have no clue what to do. I'm never going to wear it (earrings and necklace). I also know she will ask about it whenever I see her.
My kids are insane today, but the house is getting cleaned, so at least I have that to look forward to!

Today has already been too much. I want to crawl under my covers and start over.
We got a call this morning at 6 that DH's grandfather passed away. We knew this was coming and neither of us are upset about this. He had stage 4 lung cancer and was not suppose to make it to see Christmas 2015 so we have had time to say goodbye and process this all.
But DS adores this man. He told us all he wanted for his birthday was to go to Legoland or Fargo to visit Grandpa B. He talks about him every single day like he is his best friend.
Dh is leaving early this afternoon for a tournament and won't be back until Sunday evening. We will likely tell DS then or Monday evening. There is not going to be a funeral as he did not want one. Ugh I just cannot devastate my son twice in one week.
sharebear05, Are you still in the ICU or did they move you to the main floors? Hope you're feeling better soon and they can get your asthma better under control.
lovemyirishtwins,Sorry for your loss. Your poor DS, sounds like he really had a connection with his grandpa.

@justinslovo now I need to know - have you peed on a stick? I'm super invested in your reproductive health. Do they check before they put in the IUD? You should probably pee on a stick and post pics if the unprotected ST was recent.
I don't have any sticks since I am "done" having kids. They will have me pee at the appointment.
I would shit a brick. And LydiaDeetz had the audacity to joke last nighy about her type of twins happening to me as well since it was 2 eggs. Fuuuuuuck no!
They actually came from one egg that split.... which could happen to ANYONE!! Let that be a warning to you all! 😉
beepers - yup I think I did? Maybe I just updated on D17. Visit was long but good. I like my OB. She's very chill, but responsive, which is my ideal provider. Said everything looks great, they'll fit me in for a Doppler check whenever I need one (which makes me feel much better and less likely to need one). She measured CRL twice, once was 10w4d, once was 11w. I was 10w6d based on last scan and 10w5d based on what I think my O date was, so I'm good with that. In labcorp waiting for NIPT bloood draw now, hopefully will get those soon.
I am on the struggle bus today. Yesterday, was a day. Nick has been coughing up a CRAZY storm. I feel so bad for the poor kid. Luckily Ryan stayed home with him today so he can get some extra rest. Last night, our local police department posted that there was a shooter on the loose in our town. Cue me freaking the fuck out. They released the guy's picture, and it turns out I knew him in High School. He randomly shot at people with a shotgun in three different parking lots (Yum Yum Donuts, Wal Mart, and Five Guys). Thank God no one got hurt or killed. The search helicopters were flying over last night and I was just so uneasy. Luckily they caught him later last night.

sharebear05 I hope they can get you feeling better soon. @justinslovo FX for a eneg test! I'd be freaking out. lovemyirishtwins I'm sorry for the hard news. Even when it's expected, it's still tough.
Insane week at work. I have blisters on my toes from all the running around. I've had those shoes for a year, so I think it's just from all the craziness. I would love a couch day. W is not on the same plan as me, unfortunately.
I'm so behind on every post. Seriously, why did I read allll the pages on that state of the forum post? Holy waste of time over the last few days.
W and I really need to go get groceries. Then probably Panera or CFA for lunch because #lazy.
So the new barre class I'm going to is hiring and offers free classes to their employees.
Please tell me it's insane to get a 2nd part time job just to take barre for free.
Ok so I know someone who is a pharmacist (and presumably makes $$$ though I really don't know for sure I guess). To me a pharmacist is a great job because you get the $ of a MD but not the hours. Anyway. She is really into barre, teaches nights and weekends, and says as soon as she pays off her loans she is going to quit her pharmacist job.
That is freaking ludicrous. like for real. You're going to quit what is probably a mid six figure job to teach barre???
Anyway. Not saying that is your situation or that you would quit your real job. But please don't quit your real job.
I had a friend how is a lawyer for a HUGE international company. She makes great money and loves her job. She wanted to quit it to do LLR full time. Needless to say after a year she stopped selling because it never paid off.
@katechristine18 That's so scary. I'm glad they caught the guy. Also, baby coughs are the worst. My pedi okays some otc cough syrup at 2, so we are getting close to that!
I talked to our pedi yesterday and he recommended an over the counter med called "Chestal" - I never heard of it but he said it helps bring to relief.
LOL @traceyos that is insane. Plus the teachers really don't even work out while they're teaching so you need to go to classes you teach + go to your own classes? That's a freaking ton of barre.
The position is just for the front desk too but no, definitely would not be quitting. I am not even seriously thinking about applying, I have no time for a second job.
I do not think it is crazy to teach barre. I know you love it and post about it. It may be exactly the time you need to focus on yourself.
