Yay I'm glad to see so many of us still here. I've been zombie-ing through work this week. I'm going to be active here this weekend though! Our trip out of town got canceled and I am so relieved. This weekend I need to get out L's six month clothing since he's getting so long. Cry.
I'm so sorry loves2shop4shoes. There's another pedi office next to the one we go to. I hear they are moving to the mall in a few months, but I've heard good things about their doctors. Might be worth a call. PM me if you want. I have the names of some recommended people at that practice. We just liked one hospital better than the other one so that's why we went with the one we went with. I may call the other place though if I'm not happy with L's new doctor (her pedi is leaving in a few months).
loves2shop4shoes Not failing. You pushed to get the right diagnosis for E. Kids sometimes interrupt the rest of life and you did the right thing by taking E to the gastroenterologist. You closed the deal with your old job. Bye bye, asshole company (not everyone, but enough of them). And would you feel better if you wore the mask from the hospital while holding E?
loves2shop4shoes - my #1 concern would be the poop. Cement-colored poop would automatically be a red flag for me regarding bile in the stool and potential liver/gallbladder/pancreas issues. Luckily it's not that, but they seriously should have investigated that further because poop shouldn't be anything but variations of green, brown or yellow at this age.
I knew it wasn't right.
It was like wet concrete. And I kept saying, "her poop is GREY. Not green. GREY. And it has mucus." And I showed them pictures I took of it and was told they only cared if it was BLACK, WHITE, or RED.
So they went overnight from, "you're paranoid" to OMG DROP EVERYTHING AND RUN TO THE HOSPITAL.
Oh. And I got a flat tire because I apparently ran over a screw.
Oh. And one of our credit cards (with a VERY high credit limit) is routinely getting declined even though we don't carry a balance on it.
Oh loves2shop4shoes....I can't imagine the stress and worry you've gone through. I will say as a mom you rocked today! You advocated for E while you felt like crap and were going through personal crap and finally got answers. FX the new formula helps E feel better quickly and all this passes soon. Fully agree with others to get a new pedi.
Ugh loves2shop4shoes. I would be finding a new pedi ASAP. Like online research today, calling for an appointment on Monday. I hope today is better for you.
