I bought a new DVD for my son and I'm really excited to watch it with him. He has only one DVD that he currently watches so we will see how much he likes the idea of a new movie.

My visit to the daycare didn't go well. The director didn't show up for the appt. I shouldn't be surprised she was a total flake this whole time via phone. That already gave me a bad impression of the place. Then the teacher informs me that I'd need to pay close to $1000 the first week for all the fees and security deposit. Wtf. You'd think that the director might have mentioned that in our conversation when I asked about payment esp since baby would start next week. I have a backup daycare which I like better except its a much bigger place and I really wanted a smaller daycare for him. And then my dh cousin has been calling to see if she can take care of lo. Which would be awesome, she's great with kids and takes care of her granddaughter (also a 3 mo). But that means lo would commute with us to work for at least an hr each way. Not going to happen, I couldn't deal with him crying in the car which he does whenever its not moving.
Sorry this got long its been a stressful last week. I just might bake myself a choc cake to feel better
The Dr Seuss books I ordered from Target came in... one of them, Sleep Book, has the pages put in upside down... um, yeah. That's weird.
On purpose or by accident? I have a vintage sesame street that is clearly accidentally upside down, it drives me crazy because when you go to read it you have to flip it, or you have to store it upside down on the shelf.

DD loves the shower. She is so calm and relaxed in there, especially with the water spraying on her head. She licks it and doesn't seem bothered by the mist getting on her face or I imagine in her eyes. We have yet to give her a real bath since taking her in the shower so far has been easier.

I think it's by accident. I can't find anything online that says it's supposed to be that way (I figured it'd be mentioned in reviews of it). I asked someone who has the book; she said hers is like a normal book.
I think I'm going to return it and order a new one of it... It's going to annoy me if I don't at least attempt to get a normally bound one

megan81112 I hope things get easier for you and the bright side lights up soon Keep an eye on this though, you might want to call Dr before returning to work if this persists at this level or gets worse. Depression can be a hard thing to shake. ((Hugs))
You know your 2 year old isn't sleeping when you sneeze from the next room and he yells out, "bless you, Mommy." And then five minutes later, "Mommy, I pooped!" Jeez, you'd think that if he could announce every time he pooped, he'd be able to use the potty, but no.

The dictator slept my entire doctor's appointment! Then had a poop explosion when we got home. Now he's sleeping with his face buried in my boobs while sucking on a pacifier. Whatever makes him happy I suppose!

Better than my DS why flat out lies half the time. "Do you have a poo?" "Nope." Riiiiiight.

Making a big decision..to mommy cut or not! I have an Appt at my favorite salon tonight. I've just been having my coworker cut and color my hair to save money recently, she does have her license though. But my hair is med-long and just so thick and heavy. It'd be a relief to have a shorter cut. I'm just scared I'll regret it!!
CoffeeOnIce, I had 9 inches cut on Tuesday, and I'm loving it! I feel like a new woman. It was kind of driving me crazy and looking like Cousin It before, but I was growing out to donate it. It's so much easier to wash and brush, it feels lighter, and I'm saving on hair products because I don't have to use as much - yay! I say cut it!

I bought a backseat mirror off of our Amazon registry and decided to return it because I don't think we really need it. After I processed the return, it said our refund will be issued, but that I don't actually need to return it. Why would they not want it back? Maybe it would cost more to process the return with shipping than just take it as a loss? What do I do with it now? I'm so confused.

Its the washing I'd look forward to! It's the best feeling to have only healthy hair left and use half the products I normally do. I'm literally sitting in the salon chair right with color on now still undecided haha. My stylist pry dreads seeing me because I come in with 6 ideas every time haha!

Sitting here trying to decide whether or not I should wake ds up or not. He didn't sleep much at all today and now seems to sleeping pretty good. I'm afraid as soon as I get cozy in bed he'll wake up for a feeding - which is due soon......but, maybe he's really tired and I can sneak in a few good hours of sleep.
Oh the dilemma.
I think I'll wake him, feed him and hope for a milk coma right back into a good sleep. It almost hurts to wake him up.
CoffeeOnIce, let us know what you decided about the haircut!
DS2 was wearing one of DS1's outfits today. I showed DS1 a picture of him wearing the same outfit (DS1 on the left and 2 on the right), and he asked, "Is he me, Mommy?"

Total dinner fail. You know that piece of weird plastic that's in ground meat containers? Well I definitely threw the ground chicken in the skillet with it in there without realizing it until it was too late. Gah! We at least have spicy peanut noodles that I cooked separately that are pretty dang tasty.

I can't wait to get s few of these with DS and DD. She already loves the same bouncy chair he did, though I'm sure it would be better if I could find the dang vibrating part....pretty sure there's a box still at my FIL's house because we're also missing the infant tub insert and the Bumbo.

Merghkl. DH and I had planned to have sexy time tonight. Welp, it's 11pm and I'm typing here...so...yea. I've nursed DD every two hours since 2:30. DH is currently bouncing her for the third hour straight. Nothing is putting this lady to sleep! All I want now is a sleeping baby.
I am a month PP tomorrow and I'm starting to have pain down there again and a little swelling. I thought the pain would have stopped by now I'm so bummed
LO has a CLEAR preference for me. I feel a little bad. DH tries to take care of him before bedtime and cannot comfort him if/when he starts crying. I wait and give him time, and he really tries, but eventually I step in and LO settles down almost immediately. Anything I can do about that? Also kind of nervous because I go back to work in a few weeks and with 12 hour shifts DH will do all the care of baby pretty much for the entire weekend.
