So I took a shower and I'm eating now. I don't know if they slowed down or if I just don't notice them when I'm distracted. I'm gonna lay on the couch and time them for a while longer and see what's going on

Eek JoBub I'm not help in contractions/labor. But I hope they slow down. Please no bending over for shrimp lol. That's what happened to mom2boxers right??
My doctor finally called. I guess something happened and he didn't get any pages for several hours today. He said he doesn't think I need to go to the hospital unless it gets worse, and I can come in to the office in the morning if they haven't gone away.

Well, keep us posted. Sounds like you've got it under control though.

JoBub - I don't think the 5-1-1 rule applies to 2nd time moms. I think it's because you're body has been there, done that. I think my ob said 7-8 minutes but it's fuzzy. Never got the chance to try it out. Lol. The other unknown is GBS since they don't usually test until 36 weeks.
Do you feel any pressure or have noticed any changes? I hope it stops, but it might not hurt to get some stuff in your bag just in case.

Honestly I'm still a little worried they'll get worse and I'll regret not going in. But if I can just deal for the next 12 hours I can get checked in the office instead and if I have to go to the hospital, H can come with me because Bub will be at DC and that scenario is much less stressful.

That's the other thing that makes it hard. I feel a lot of pressure when baby moves because his head is way down. He's like ready to go. Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's a contraction, or just discomfort from him moving. My belly will feel really hard if he's just pressing his butt/back out. So I'm poking all over to figure out if it's hard all over or just where his butt is. And I think some contractions are actually triggered by his movements and my poking.

Did you have a really long labor with bub? I know they say second + is faster, but this has been all day and no other symptoms to suggest its real labor right?
I think if you can sttn and relax it may calm things down. But go into the office in the morning no matter what.

Yeah i had non-painful contractions all day long last time. I could time them and see them getting closer together, but they weren't painful until we were already on the way to the hospital because they were close together. But I was also 41 weeks and had lost my mucus plug, so I had plenty of reasons to think it was the real deal at that point. This time, no other symptoms.

JoBub - This limbo really sucks. I think just getting sleep may help. Your OB didn't seem to think it was urgent. I would be at the office first thing to check everything out and hopefully get peace of mind. You're kinda far from BN too, so I really hope everything calms down overnight.
