Baby steps over here: today I replaced our usual ranch dressing (made with mayo and light sour cream) with oil and vinegar Italian. I don't love it, but I can live with it.
Tomorrow, Dh and I will be going to the gym in the afternoon. We're trying to find the most efficient way to do the gym with the kiddos.
I ran almost 3miles from my new place to my old place. First *long* run in a year. I almost gave up halfway through, was about to call an Uber to take me the rest of the way home, but decided to push through just a little more and made it (except I didn't run the last half mile of crazy steep uphill, but I did walk it)
MH and I had a talk about all this last night becuase his weight is getting him down too. We're going to try Keto and intermittent fasting - which sounds scarier than it is.
Last month, I cut down a lot on sugar and ate smaller portions. I saw changes right away. I went on vacation and got off track but I'm back on track starting now
I need to start working out badly, for both fitness and stress release.
On the semi-plus side I've lost a bunch of weight, but unfortunately it's because my IBS flared up from stress. So at least some of that will start creeping back on as my stomach calms back down.

Ok, so I'm dressed waiting for Dh to be ready to go to the gym. I'm so ashamed of the state of me. I only fit in my maternity workout clothes, none of my pre preg workout clothes fit. I'm mentally preparing for the plethora of super fit people.

But I'm going. So there's that.
How was it? Going back this week?
It was good! Kids liked the play/childcare area. Dh told me he had a workout plan for me so I really had no idea what we were going to do. Turns out it's a 12 week postpartum workout and he's doing it with me. That's love. It was a hiit circuit workout and we ended with some extra cardio.
Headed back again tonight so long as the kids get back from their day trip on time.
Susan0utLoud, that's so sweet of me cheese! Damn I can barely convince DH to go for a bike ride with me or a walk. So nice when you have someone supportive of you like that.

That sounds great! Keep it up and don't let those super fit people intimidate you.
H worked out with me last night. It was my Monday workout, but I hadn't done anything hard since Wednesday and I was craving it. He was struggling towards the end and said his legs were really sore this morning. It was like an extra measure of progress for me since I had an easier time with it and am only a little sore 😀

I secretly loved that Dh was just as sore as I was after the workout. He has always been way more fit than me. It's nice to feel like it's a bit more of a level playing field for the moment.

I went to the pool yesterday to swim laps. First time of the season I was able to get in the outdoor pool instead of the indoor pool. I forgot how much I love the pool; it just has to be the right temperature for it!
I have one month till Tough Mudder, now that my half is done I'm switching focus to strength training. I'm so bad about making time for it but it's time to schedule it in every night. I found a month training plan on their site so I'm going to follow that and see how it goes.

I weighed myself at the gym yesterday, I'm down 4lbs since joining the gym....last October . Is it weird that I was happy to be down anything at all?? I suck at consistency, I still haven't finished the BBM5.0 90day challenge that I started a year ago.
New short term goal, loose 5lbs and trim down the midsection before I go to the beach in 3 weeks. I can do this.
ETA my arms are the best they've ever been and I have new muscles in my legs for sure. It's the damn Mommy tummy that keeps getting bigger and bigger .
Hi. Can I go here too? I think I have diastasis recti. I just need to get into the Dr to confirm. I'd like to pursue PT.
In the mean time check out YouTube, they have lots of exercise videos to correct it.
I'm worried I'm going to do the exercises wrong and fuck it up even more. Also I think my belly button is herniated so I don't know if I should do much until I know for sure.
