lulu that sounds great! But is just blending the carrots enough to make them blend with the rest of the hummus texture wise? The one thing I hate about raw carrots is I always get little bits stuck in or tickling my throat because even when chewed the little pieces are hard.

If you grate them first, then blend I think the texture is smooth enough. I find that if it's too thick then adding water helps to thin it out.
I know what you mean about the carrotty bits and I still think as long as it's blended enough, it works.
It's always a hit with my toddler class - who make the whole thing themselves. At my most recent class, a baby devoured a whole portion on two whole slices of bread!! His 2 year old brother made it...but the baby scoffed the lot 😀.
That makes me think it was a good texture.
I've seen some recipes do it but with roasted carrots. I don't bother, because I need to make it so the kids can follow all the steps themselves so it's raw carrot. But you could def try roasting them.
I also do exactly the same recipe but with beetroot and that's delicious. We just don't have beetroots in season quite just yet.
I'm going to link my FB business page on the private board so you can have a look at some of the other recipes we make at my classes.
It's basically locally sourced produce from farms in the region that I get for the kids to turn into snacks. Super simple, toddler friendly food, whilst supporting local farmers.
Well so much for meal planning for some lunches for the week. I made 4 chicken breasts in the crock pot. Set them on the counter to cool, in the corner of the counter so not close to the edge. Wash the kids up for bath and guess what? The fucking dog ate them all. And guess who's just sitting on their ass doing nothing... im fucking pissed
Hi everyone! I have been MIA for awhile now. I lurked at random times and then clicked something on my app and couldn't figure out how to get back to you. It's good to be back!

Hi! I've been wondering how you've been!
That's so sweet! I have been very good how are you?
Super busy. Apparently having kids with birthdays two weeks apart makes for a crazy month. Who knew?
Oh my! I thought 3 months apart came quickly for planning How are your kiddos?
They're good. DD1 is so much like me it's scary. DD2 is getting big and growing up too fast! Luckily she can't run very fast yet so she's easy to catch. She's got some food allergies, so that's new territory for us.

How are your girls?
Mine are also growing up too fast! Sassy as ever DD1 turned 3 and has been giving us a challenge with her behavior. It's been hard! She cracks me up everyday, though. Toddlers are funny! DD2 is busy, busy, busy and is getting fast! She's talking more and so fun. She likes to annoy her sister The allergy situation must be difficult! We haven't come across anything yet, thankfully.

No nap for ds today. He fell asleep in the car on the way home from dinner at my parents house. Transferred to bed, changed diaper, put on pj pants and he was out for the night at 730! Win!

These are my favorite times. Yay for a early night for you!

The best when no naps happen. Clara didn't nap either and she fell right to sleep at 7:30 as well!
I think DS is dropping his nap. He doesn't nap at school anymore and this weekend he took 1 40min car nap and that was it :-(
Dd is all over the place with naps. She goes weeks without napping, or napping one day, or falling asleep in the car. Then last week she napped more days than she didn't. I stick her in her crib everyday and whatever happens happens.

This. Dd1 goes in her bed everyday for quiet time. If she naps, awesome, if she doesn't and plays with her toys instead, I'm fine with that. She still will nap about 4 days a week.
