I am failing at preparing dinner while home. I can't believe it's already 6 p.m. I forget how freaking consuming this is. I want to have a beer but is it too soon? I would love a blue moon right now. I need one actually.

Drink it. My Mom had me drinking beer day 3 to help my milk come in. Sure it might an old wives tale but it certainly calmed me down and it seemed to help.

My new lazy meal is grocery store rotisserie chicken and bag of salad. Way cheaper then take out but sorta healthy?? I get DH to grab it on the way home. Doll15 hope you had that beer. I can't believe you are even worried about cooking at this stage. Newborns = cold sandwiches or frozen meals in my book.
Boxed/jarred spaghetti was a frequent before I did the freezer meals. Now we eat a little fresher but I'm poorer. We had Greek lemon chicken with feta and toasted garlic orzo. Like never would I ever fix that without these freezer meals. Never.
DD1 was actually asleep by 8 last night and only got out of bed 3 times. That's like the best it's gonna get around here lately. You know it's bad when your 5 month old is the dream sleeper. Sorry you're having bedtime troubles too.

DD keeps getting out of bed and telling me things in her room are scarring her. Like "my art board scared me". Thinking it might be time for a night light?

That was happening to DS a while ago. I think fear of the dark is a new development. We kept reassuring him but night lights also help. Sometimes he would ask us to leave the overhead light on and we would say no. Also paranoid about sounds. "What's that?"

I just got a head out about childhood fears from the doctor at Clara's 3 year appointment. 3-4 is a tough age. Their world is changing big time! Being afraid of the dark can start now and peak at 4!

I am so jealous of your freezer meals. We just can't afford it.
