I confess that apparently I can not adult very well as I have seen a couple pictures of myself lately and I don't like how my face looks in them. I think I look very drawn out and bony. For a few weeks I tried to eat more to add about 10 lbs on, but no change and I stopped making a big effort.
I was curious earlier and decided to add up my calories for the day and what I ate is pretty typical. It only added up to 700 calories and then I am going to add about 200 or so for snacks later.
I am seriously shocked and appalled that I have basically been eating a starvation diet and had no clue! I need to figure out how to change this.
scout251 I do use olive oil and butter for cooking. Avocados just occasionally as it isn't something that I cook with a lot. The problem is I am tired in the morning since I have always slept terribly. I have cereal and no time for other stuff. My lunch is bigger but at 3:30 so I am genuinely not hungry for dinner so just snack later on.
footloose, do you just not get hungry? I think one of the meds I'm on is killing my appetite. I don't feel hungry so I don't eat as much. I have to force myself to eat dinner sometimes.

I get hungry during the day but can't eat at my desk or walk away due to always having some people in line. By the time I do eat it feels like the point of no return and not even that hungry by that time.

can you keep snacks at your desk? Something like a hand full of nuts between customers might be good, they are high in health fat and fill you up

FFFC even though I know it's completely not healthy for footloose or anyone I'm slightly jealous of this problem
I would be a healthier weight if I just forgot to eat. Somehow the food always makes it in my mouth. Maybe eat more at night then footloose. My H sometimes eats his lunch on the way home from work and then still eats PB and banana or something for dinner.

It isn't that I forget to eat. My job is just very go go go the whole day. It also is stressful and I think I burn a lot of calories just dealing with aggressive customers and trying to keep my anger in check. Constantly arguing with them about rules and documents is exhausting.
I used to eat cereal before bed every night and I may try that again. I will have to buy some different cereals. Maybe get homo milk as well.
And I knew that when I posted that most likely others will just roll their eyes, but it is still an issue just like people have a problem trying to control weight in the other direction.

I definitely didn't roll my eyes, eating that little because of work obviously affecting your health. What about making some breakfast wraps or sandwichs and freezing them, then you just have to microwave in the morning and can eat on the way to work. Pack them out with protein and healthy fats?

We actually do this. DH makes egg and veggie wraps for the week and freezes them. They only take a minute to heat up in the morning.

I will go shopping after work tomorrow and get stuff and prepare some foods on Sunday.

Yeah I didn't roll my eyes at all, just can't imagine being able to put off eating. I work a lot less then you but when I'm at work it's a busy restaurant where I'm running the entire 8/9 hours sometimes. I will literally hide snacks in my apron and run through the back or in a bathroom stall and stuff something in my mouth. I get way cranky when hungry and could never ignore it or forget about it
jennyinheaven We all have our food issues I think. I was anorexic and bulimic for several years a long time ago so honestly I think it is second nature for me not to eat.
I feel like it is like being in recovery where you always need to keep at it. That is why when I actually notice that something is not right then I have to make a conscious choice to fix it because it won't just fix itself.
From experience I recommend getting your son baptized(before he is 8yo) if you think you'll ever want to raise him in the Catholic Church and go through all the sacraments. I say this because sd wanted to be baptized, receive communion and other things children her age did when went to church regularly , but because of the custody stuff we couldn't enroll her in CCD classes or anything until after she turned 8.
Once a child turns 8 they have to attend the RCIA program which is regular meetings for almost a year, in addition to age appropriate CCD. They then have to be part of the 3 hour Easter eve ceremony and they receive baptism, communion, and confirmation all in the same day. We don't regret doing it because it's what she wanted, but it would've been a heck of a lot easier had we been able to do it before she turned 8.
I'm sorry you're struggling with where you fit in.
Looking back mH and I have had many times where we've been in the same page and commitment level with our church attendance and other times where we've been so far apart we've gone separately.
Sorry that was a lot of words to provide support for whatever you decide. Hugs.
footloose, what about smoothies or drinkable yogurt?
I could bring some drinkable yogurt. That's a good idea
GNC has a protein powder that has 1,000 or so calories. You could add it to milk or smoothies. That way if you don't get to eat, at least you get some calories in.

footloose real talk though I have a friend with similar issues her doctor suggested that she drink Ensure to make sure she was getting the necessary calories per day.

They had me drink ensure during the beginning of my pregnancy with DS. Drink it ice cold & chug it if you choose this route haha
