Saturday we went to a Youth Festival, Sunday we recovered from too much sun at said Youth Festival.
Today I leave on a week long work retreat. I am realizing how much I don't want to be away from my girl as I sit here typing.
Summer plans, keep O busy, take her to a "good" zoo (the only local one is really sad so we've been there once and likely won't go back), eat the vegetables we've grown, enjoy a week at a cottage. Nothing major planned for this year...
Saturday my SIL came over and occupied Clara while we unpacked. Sunday was grocery shopping and cleaning. We are like 98% done unpacking! Summer bucket list, strawberry picking, zoo trips, parade, fire works, flower planting, garden growing, enjoying the summer!
Saturday we had two different grad parties. My cousins was insane. We had to park almost a half mile away because of how many people were there. My aunt made enough food for 300 and was out of food two hours in. She got social butterfly in the year book. Guess I see why. Yesterday I got up and ran then DD wanted to go to the park so we took her for a bit but the slides and equipment were starting to get hot from the sun. Then yesterday after nap we got out her slip and slide and hung out outside. It was relaxing but dinner got pushed back so it was a later than usual bedtime which stunk.
This summer I just want to get as much family time as we can. DH has gotten so good about being with us and spending time with DD, it makes me so happy. Hopefully we'll have some boat time too with family and friends.
The biggest thing was that my parent's came home. So yesterday we spent a few hours with them. The girls missed them so much and enjoyed seeing them. We went boating, they sat on the back of the boat and let the waves get them and just played with them. And SD was actually really nice to them. H came home but he was sleeping all day (insert angry look) so he barely spent any time with them.
I'm hoping to take the girls to the zoo for a day. Maybe spend a weekend up at our friend's or visit my niece. Since I have more vacation then in the past I might take them to the fair more than one day or take a day for the pool. It's just silly to me to pay to go swimming when we can use our boat and swim for free. And of course lots of boating and fishing.
Saturday we ran a bunch of errands and went to a grad party across the street for a while. Bub got a crappy car nap, and the teenagers at the grad party wore him out, so he ended up falling asleep on the couch at 5:00 and sleeping all night.
Yesterday we spent a few hours at the playground/splash park in the morning, DH shampooed the carpets during nap time, and we went out for dinner bc we have no groceries. It was a pretty good weekend overall.
Plan for the June: show DH all the fun places to take DS on the weekends so they can get out of the house together (with or without me) after baby comes. Also need to get the nursery ready. That's pretty much 0% done with less than 4 weeks to go. Plan for July: have a baby. Survive.
Saturday was mostly party prep. We also took out the girls' inflatable splash park and played in that for a bit. Yesterday was DD2's bday party. She got a little overwhelmed, but seemed to have a good time overall. DD1 tried to abscond with all fo DD2's new toys though.
For this week, I'm getting my wisdom teeth out on Wednesday. So that will be fun.
Rest of the summer: Get out with the kids more. Hikes, pool time, playground, museum, zoo, splash pads, petting zoo, etc. Also, hopefully nail down DH's vacation and get that planned.
We're also going to Indy with my family to visit the Children's museum there. And I want to take the girls up to Chicago to go to the zoo or museum there
Ugh I was pretty much sick all weekend. Looking forward to this being over. We took C to a daycare friends birthday party yesterday, that was the extent of our travels.
This summer we are going to camp at the beach and make a road trip to visit Hs family in Oregon. I go back to work in middle of august so hoping to get a lot of camping trips in.
Saturday we went to the aquarium which was really fun, DS laughed his head off at the otters. Then Sunday, DS, MIL and I went to the mall and out to lunch and in the afternoon we all went down to a little cove and tried to teach DS to fish.
For the summer we're hoping to get out hiking in the parks and explore more of the city. I'm also hoping by the end of summer DS will be mature enough to go out in a canoe with us

Saturday was Dozer Day. It was fantastic and ds had the time of his life. Saturday night I bought flowers for the front of the house (my mom paid for them, bless her).
Church Sunday morning. Ds was in rare form. I could feel the eyeballs on the back of me. It was so bad. Planted flowers and weeded Sunday afternoon. Went to my parents for a BBQ last night. Wore the kids out, both were out for the night at 730.
I have Monday and Tuesday off as we were supposed to be doing Great Wolf. Taking the kids to the zoo today and then tomorrow I'm on my own for a good chunk of the day because Dh has a job interview. Yes!
This summer..... camping with grandma and grandpa, cheap stuff with the kids around the city. Seattle has a month long festival called Seafair and there are tons of free events all over the city. We'll do as much of that stuff as we can to keep us busy.
We have gone to the pool 6/9 days it's been open. It's been so much fun. The big is wearing his puddle jumper and wanting to swim with little help (why wouldn't he do that last year when I was super pregnant.) Also had a birthday party and visited my parents and the kids cousins. One of the funnest things we did was breakfast out on Sunday before church. I love when the baby sleeps through a meal and the big actually eats.
Summer bucket list: (some have been done already) Picnic in the backyard Creek playing Coney Island Kings island Zoo Live music Yacht club The pool Hiking with the kids A night away from the kids drive in movie Backyard smores and movie Fireworks Snow cones outting Try to catch a marching band in a parade (the big is obsessed with marching band videos.)

Sat. morning we took DD to a Daniel Tiger meet and greet. Plus storytime. It was kinda disorganized but it was free and she was happy so whatever. Sat. night I worked then worked again Sunday morning/afternoon as becole would say I made it rain money. I was dead Sunday night brought take out home from work and pizza because my parents came to play with DD. I went to bed at 8:30pm and feel like a new woman today. No bucket list this summer just want to relax, swim and enjoy time with my kid (hopefully). Looking forward to this upcoming weekend. I'm taking DD to Sesame Place on Friday with a friend and her four year. Then Sunday and Monday DH is taking off Mon and we will go to the Jersey shore overnight with same friend, and her family.
Friday we went out to dinner with the ILs and H's grandma. The kids did really well and DS1 actually ate. MIL kept pouring me wine so I was feeling tired on Sat. DS2 had his (last!) PT session and DS1 tagged along and had fun playing with all the toys there. Then the kids napped (at different times, dammit) and then played with the water table while we grilled.
Sunday was DS2's baptism. It went pretty well. Then we went over to see BIL and SIL's new house since I hadn't been yet. Let's just say if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all, so I won't speak of it in detail. Friday's dinner gave us courage to go out to dinner Sunday night. Kids did well again!
As for my summer bucket list, I'd like to get a family beach pass and go at least once a week. DS1 has gymnastics starting next weekend so that should be interesting. We'll go to my parent's lake house at least once. Other than that just chilling outside, grilling, etc.

Saturday was Dd1s birthday party. It went really well, and she had a lot of fun playing with her friend that came. After that we drove up to the cities to a graduation party for 2 kids that I used to baby-sit for. We stayed in a hotel up there, and the girls didn't get to sleep till after 10:30pm. Sunday we went to the MN zoo, and despite the lack of sleep, both girls did really really well all day long. We then has to drive to my ILs and pick up our dog before heading home. On the way we stopped and got pizza and McD's and ate a park. Finally got home at 7:30 and both kids went right to be and to sleep, and I watched Fear the Walking Dead.
As for summer, story times and the libraries, playing outside, picnics, a wedding, hopefully more trips to zoos.
Saturday was my little cousin's birthday party. Sunday we played outside with the water table and in the bouncy house before it started to rain. The rest of the day we played inside with the girls' new kitchen they got with birthday gift cards and watched the Minions movie.
This summer we don't have a ton of plans. Swimming, spending time with family, movies in the park, baby shower, nephew's birth
microworm , you could always say it on the private board
Lol I just feel like you guys must be sick of all my bitching about them.
Honestly I enjoy it. It's entertaining since it's not my family and judging by the lines of my comment I'm not the only one. Eta that was supposed to say likes of my comment
Saturday I worked as usual and then grocery shopped after. Peyton had fun during the day. My friends daughter has been babysitting her and she just adores her and thinks she is great.
Sunday I did a bunch of food preparation and then the rain stopped so we played in the backyard for a bit and then listened to music in the house and dancing.
Not too many plans for the summer, want to go to the zoo again as I got a membership, go to the beach, a water park, play in the yard and go up to see my parents. I have vacation again in a couple of weeks and my parents are taking her for a few days and have plans with friends to go out.
We went up to BIL and SIL's in NH for my niece's sweet 16 party. It went better than I expected. DS was great in the car both ways, napped part of the way each way and entertained himself for the rest of the time. And there was no traffic. The party itself was fun and it was great to see everyone. DS actually slept a lot better than I expected but DH and I slept like crap. We got home yesterday early afternoon and then had a million things to do to get ready for the week. I'm absolutely exhausted.
Our summer bucket list: Strawberry picking Zoo Aquarium Maybe a weekend trip to Mystic Seaport Go to my mom's pool more than we did last summer Go to the beach at least a few times Possibly go to my Dad's at the Jersey Shore for a long weekend which would mean a night away for DH and I We actually have a concert date night planned in July. I'm going to actually use some PTO and take a week off for myself.
H is away for a couple days again. Dd was sad when he left, per usual. It's raining today and supposed to again tomorrow. There's a high likelihood I'll loose my mind.
Ds has a weight check tomorrow morning. He'll need his nap after, but there's a mcd's with a play place near there, so maybe we'll try that.
Haven't though much about summer, maybe I can steal all of your plans:
Maybe some day it will be warm enough for the pool
Day trip somewhere for H's bday
Trip to PA for July 4th, plus DS's birthday - maybe we can squeeze in a philly zoo trip, but doubtful
This weekend we traveled to visit my new baby nephew and went to the zoo. It was a fun weekend, but a lot of driving.
We have a couple of camping trips coming up and would like to spend some time out on the boat. I would also like to take the kids to a water park. DS2 will probably have surgery some time in Aug, so I want to make the most of the next 2 months.

Day trip, maybe weekend trip for our anniversary
Jersey shore with inlaws in Sept
We passed Davis Farmland on our drive up to NH this weekend. I've heard great things about it but thought it was closer to us for some reason...

Saturday I took the kids to home depot to make tic tac toe games. Jakob loves doing these workshops. The guy who does them has really made an effort to get to know Jakob, his love of tools and the fact Jakob needs space. He has made it pretty enjoyable for him.
Sunday we went to a Thomas the Tank interactive exhibit. Both kids enjoyed it. Then we went to Pei Wei.
