I wanted to check on people and say hello! It's wonderful to see people I remember with success
I would love someone to read this post who needs encouragement, because IF is so hard. And, PAIF is scary too.
Last year was rough. We had two donor egg miscarriages, and my last of three total d&c's was end of December. I retired from participating on boards, reading things on-line, etc. We have 3 beautiful embies in storage, and I totally planned to cont trying until we used them all (but no more), but, in the meantime, I was trying to forget about IF. Then an amazing thing happened.
I had Femvue, was cleared to start Lupron for an embryo transfer and went in for endo scratch. Well, I was literally undressed and on the table, when the NP doing the procedure walked in with two (+) urine tests. We were all stunned, b/c I have the crappiest ovaries. This was Valentine's day. I drove home in shock, cried on the way to work the next morning, and got my beta results the next day (53,000). I had been feeling weird, but it didn't connect. I was a few days over 6wks KU at that time, and today, we're rolling in to our 24th week. I got KU before I even cycled once after my last D&C.
Baby girl has passed all of her testing so far with flying colors. We did the cell free DNA, 20 wks scan, and AFP. Only hitch (because there has to be something) is there's some abnormality called circumvallate placenta, but looks like maybe it might be partial (I hope). Cord insertion is normal, which I'm told is a plus. I can find several success stories with this, but it's still some scary (IGUR, rarely placental abruption). I totally freaked out when I was first told this about one month ago. Had a couple of the smallest spotting episodes but went in to be checked anyway. But, I'm trying (and doing okay) to be less scared and more happy and excited.
Thanks for reading, and I hope someone can come across this post and feel hopeful! Congrats to everyone who is enjoying success.
