dogmama22 that was us last summer. It's so scary! I'm glad it was just a febrile seizure and not something more serious. Hopefully everything comes back ok. Why did they sedate him in the ambulance?
She hasn't had anymore since, right?
The doctor clarified that they gave him a med to stop the seizure that happens to sedate people. They said it was unusual that he was still seizing when they arrived and continued to do so. Fortunately, we're about 2 minutes from the hospital now and it took the medics probably less than 2 minutes to get to us after calling.

Oh, that's scary! She had like 4 last summer (june-aug). But she hasn't had any since last August I believe. They ended up giving us some meds (can't remember the name) to give her if her seizure ever lasted longer than 5 min. Thankfully, we never had to use it!

Ugh that's awful. I feel better knowing what to expect now, though. I hope they give us the diastat tomorrow because it will help me feel better if it does happen again.

dogmama22, yes, diastat! It definitely does help ease the mind to know you have something to help them if it is a long seizure. Especially since his first one seemed long!
