Wife Pregnant on Bed Rest- Help with existing std and ltd

Hello,
Found out my wife was pregnant a few weeks ago, and the doctor recently put her on bed rest. This bed rest may last for the duration of her pregnancy, 7 months, and she will be out of work. She has STD through her job, and an outside LTD policy with Northwestern Mutual (90 day waiting period). Any ideas/experiences with filing a claim in a situation relating to pregnancy?
