Today is laundry day. (Autocorrect made laundry Larry bahaha). Not only roadtrip laundry but winter clothes and maternity clothes laundry 😬. It's supposed to be in the 60s by the end of the week weeeee so I need some long pants at least for kiddos. Everything still fits me but pants and hitting that almost uncomfortable stage so better get ready.
aggiebug Larry day sounds better to me 😉😉😉 And A likes egg salad but once I put it on bread and she didn't eat it 🤷♀️ She eats lunches well for the most part though. Mostly turkey sandwiches, pb&J, cheese burittos, sometimes toasted cheese. She eats huge amounts of veggies and likes some fruits but gets picky with that too. As in, loved apples before and all of a sudden doesn't want them. 3 and 4 year olds are like drunk college students haha.
I need to figure out a quick protein option that is not meat because I do not want to cook two meals but I also want her to be getting the protien her body needs. We live on mostly chicken...and she acts like I'm feeding her brains.
This morning during breakfast we found out N had an emergency school closing due to a power outage. So change of plans but it was fun to have Nor home! As a result, I did my c25k run at night to stay on schedule and it was a bad idea. Running after eating did not sit well with me 🤢. Off to bed after watching the new This Is Us episode on demand. 💤💤💤
I need more inspiration for S's lunches this week. She ended up only eating the egg salad one day, said she loved it then didn't eat any more stinker.
We do a lot of the homemade lunchables - crackers, cheese, deli meat but add a side of pickles or tomatoes
Kraft dinner and hot dogs
Omelet
Bagel or wraps
Pilsbury has this hot dog dough wrap. I’ve done it with hot dogs or make pizza rolls with them.
English muffin pizzas
Chicken salad sandwiches
I’m always on the lookout for ideas bc they get tired off stuff quickly
I love a lot of these ideas, hard for school though. She eats great at home but school is the problem. If it's a hot meal it has to be hot so no cold quesadilla etc, lunch meat is terrible and pb is not allowed at school 🤦🏼♀️. She is seriously a good eater just has crazy and strong opinions about an individual meal.
Yesterday I made a new recipe for dinner - Italian quesadillas. It was Italian sausage cooked and crumbled, basil, onions, roasted peppers, and mozzarella. And then marinara as dip. Everyone like it...yes even A! She only had one quarter but I'm happy with that (she ate a lot of salad).
Today is both schools, gym, and then H is taking my car in. There has been a nail in the tire and it's starting to finally give us some trouble. $$$
I got a call that I won a top raffle prize that we filled out at the beer fest we went to. I got excited because they were saying you could win $1,000. Well it turned out to be plane tickets but with all these promotional stipulations from a hotel company. Maybe okay for a young, childless couple, but too much work for H and I 😩. That sounds snotty but we're set in our vacationing ways and on our terms lol. But I am sad that it wasn't the money ☹

What about these pizza muffins? Just always serve them to her cold so she doesn’t know they can be hot?
Trying to book flights for Disney. Have to decide between -a 4hr drive and staying in a hotel one night (half a night really, we’ll be up at 330-4 for travel) then a direct flight (2hr) to Orlando, getting there at 10am then on the way back landing around 6pm and driving 4hr home that night -a 1hr drive and 5 hr of air travel including a layover, getting to Orlando at 1pm then on the way back 5hr of air travel / layover landing at either 6 or 930pm then a 1hr drive home.
Even including the hotel room, the direct flight plan is $400 cheaper so we’re almost certainly doing that one, but ughhhhhhh that 4hr drive on the way home is gonna be so miserable.
lilyelayne I would chose option 2 because staying one night at a hotel like that...I'd rather not, personally. But it's such a personal choice. I'm sorry you don't have better options. Hope you can figure out which one is best for your fam!
Today a light went on in my car so I felt like I was driving a ticking time bomb. But then it never came back... something to do with recharging the battery after updates yesterday. Making a new recipe for dinner, cheese stuffed meatballs with marinara sauce to dip. Had some of the ingredients left from the quesadillas haha.

Oh that will be a rough ride home but hopefully you have some snacks left over from your meal plan to provide some entertainment 😄. I totally get your choice hopefully it goes smoothly, and the trip will be worth it!
DH wants to do the shorter drive / longer flight except the rest of the family is doing the long drive / direct flight and he knows how much it would mean to his parents to get to be with all their grandkids when they arrive at WDW.
I also prefer air travel over car travel, but 4 hours is significantly shorter than our drive to the beach & we do that 3-4x a year so 🤷🏻♀️
Anyway- headed to Texas when DH gets off work. My Texas bff is having a sprinkle for baby#3. We got a hotel room because their house flooded in that bad storm a few weeks ago & it’s still not liveable (they’re staying with family.) I got her a box of wipes and a gift certificate for an hour long prenatal massage.
lilyelayne enjoy your weekend! I hope you friend gets her house fixed and back soon, poor thing. So sad.
I am struggling with c25k but I finished week 3 today. How am I gonna do week 4 and beyond? I guess I'll just keep doing what I can! And slow down my pace if needed.
I have a headache so now I am sitting on the couch while A watches Dragons: Race to the Edge - a Netflix show based on the movies. They are obsessed with the How To Train Your Dragon franchise. In fact their halloween costumes are Astrid (N) and Toothless (A). N has dance class tonight. Happy weekend all!
I'm just chilling watching the Astros. Snuggling as long as I could before turning on the heat. I decided to turn it on, we wouldn't make it through the night anyway. Yay fall!
Not much on the schedule this weekend, a neighborhood block party hopefully if weather cooperates then watching a football game with our neighbors Sunday.
We have not really started planning our Disney trip yet. Trying to set the date still, sadly.
I received some exciting news this week. I've been offered a management position in my department, and I accepted. It means a bit more onsite work, but I'm excited for the opportunity. I start next month.
Yesterday we took my parents and sister with us apple picking. My mom complained the whole time (price of an apple bag, some blemished apples, bumpy ground, windy, no sit down restaurant) but then said she had a good time... it was a little chilly but fun.
Last night we went out to dinner with neighbors. I felt bad not reciprocating by hosting them at our house, but he's afraid of dogs and all my go-to hosting recipes involve meat (they are vegitarians). I will get it together someday and have them over. Until then we went to Home Run Inn. I had one tiny piece of pizza and a side salad. I'm proud of that because their pizza is so good ☹ But it was fun!
DH's cousin is getting married today, so we'll be down in the city all day today, for the church service and then ceremony and reception. MIL will bring the boys down after their nap.
