Valentine's is Friday woowoo. We don't generally celebrate so it's no biggie. Kinda funny that we are taking our getaway this weekend. Everyone thinks it's because of Valentine's, nope 😄 just when grandparents could come. S also keeps calling it Thanksgiving so that has been our giggle this month.
Hi it's been a busy week. My results came back as a pleomorphic adenoma around the parotid gland. I need further tests to get a better look. Probably a biopsy to rule out malignancy although they are usually benign. And even though they haven't mentioned this yet, I'm pretty sure all these are surgically removed so. It's been emotionally draining week. MRI with contrast is scheduled for next week. H is not handling it well and while I'm nervous it is better to know then not, and pray that it is benign.
I have been very worried about N as well because I thought I was seeing the curve in her back still that the doctor mentioned last year. But he said it looks fine!!! Phew! The girls' yearly checkups were great! Norah is above 99th percentile for height lol. He's like well that's basically off this chart. We are used to that with her though. Anna is in the 60th percentile and their BMIs are great! A got two vax to be all set for kindergarten. I hate that as they get older and know what's going on, they freak out about shots. It's hard to see but they always explain it very well to them about the importance of vaccinations, which I appreciate!
aggiebug my weekend situation is similar to yours. Because my sister has a few days off, she offered to take the girls for a night. We don't usually going out for Valentine's Day, we celebrate out dating anni which is next week. We did meet at a valentines day party though so I guess we are allowed to splurge on the prefix menu and fight the crowds this one time. Lol.
dreemkin gah I am sorry about those ambiguous results. It sounds like they are being thorough and it's a solid plan but I know the not knowing/ expecting surgery is stressful. I hope the rest of the results come back in the clear and if surgery is needed it goes smoothly.
Yay for good Dr visits! I know what you mean about vaccines. S actually didn't have to get any this visit but I wasn't sure so she was nervous. C was so cute he said I will sit right next to you and protect you. ❤️❤️ Talk about melting my heart. Enjoy your weekend! Even with the crowds
We had our parent teacher conferences last week. It was all good except dd2’s teacher mentioned that she’s not allowed to sit beside one particular friend during carpet time bc there is too much touching. Of course we knew right away who this was - her bff. Who she refers to as her boyfriend. She says they are going to get married. She asked me the other day who is going to plan the wedding. Yesterday she drew a family picture- her future husband and herself holding their baby boy, who will be named James. 🤦♀️
I’m still not sure at what point this whole thing goes from cute to crazy.

Lots of rain and flash floods here. Our house is dry thankfully. And it stopped raining today just in time for our PTA’s big fundraiser. Whew. My ILs and older SIL are on a two week cruise so we’re going over to SIL’s house to take care of her dog every day. He’s become much sweeter in his old age so at least I can bring the kids with me.
I just want to relax this weekend but SIL asked us to keep the nephews Saturday night so she & BIL can go to the Mardi Gras ball in town. They’re having a rough patch so of course I said yes.
Happy Valentine's day! The temp (not wind chill) is in the negatives here so we are going out as little as possible today. N has off but A still has school.
