I foolishly thought I could put my sleeping baby down to take a quick bath...not so much. He freaked out as soon as I got in the water and would not stop. My poor dd tried her best to comfort and play with him but he was pissed. He is now angrily nursing with big tears in his eyes because he was inconsolable. Crazy guy doesn't seem to realize that I can't hold him 24/7...
I don't know why but after like 18 years of seeeerious nail biting, I've suddenly stopped. I don't know why since I had long ago given up trying to stop but it's fine with me!
That happened with me! I just randomly and suddenly stopped biting my nails after giving up many years prior on finding a way to stop. I feel like they should have a support group for this or something... I was 22 (now 25) when I finally stopped. I was known for constant nail biting by EVERYONE. Nothing worked to make me stop-- that nail polish that's supposed to do it? Nah, the taste didn't bother me and I kept on biting. Then one day, bam. I realized I had stopped biting them. Imagine my family's surprise when I showed up one day with actual nails!
Me too! My grandmother used to bet me money to stop biting my nails and it would work until the day after she gave me the cash. Then I'd bite them all off again. I tried the nail polish and it didn't help. I also tried this cuticle cream that was supposed to numb your lips and taste bad, but it was actually kind of fun to have my lips numb up lol.
I tend to go through phases of biting and not biting. The first time I stopped was right before I got married (at 23) then I started again about a year later. I'm now 27 and I haven't bitten them since before I got pregnant. I'm sure once the stress of being back at work hits I'll start biting again but hopefully it won't last long.
